QUOTE(ocz @ Apr 3 2008, 04:05 PM) depends on what sense ? multi threaded? single threaded? overclocked speeds? stock speeds? Added on April 3, 2008, 5:35 pm QUOTE(karchis @ Mar 31 2008, 09:55 PM) nice where you from? This post has been edited by bryanyeo87: Apr 3 2008, 05:35 PM |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Apr 4 2008, 06:51 AM) Go for the E8400 then unless you really need 4 cores for CPU-intensive-multithreaded applications.... Thank you bro.Its really hard for me to decide.Well, sometimes i do play games, but not high end one. All i want is my pc to be fast in all task and applications i use. QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Apr 4 2008, 07:47 AM) only if u actually use all the cores right? You are right bro.most programs are not written to actually make full use of the 2cores yet also lor. right? QUOTE(wiNd @ Apr 4 2008, 10:30 AM) Quad is also good for gaming right? Is any much different for the FPS? QUOTE(ezinger @ Apr 4 2008, 03:46 PM) What do you mean by that?I don't think E8400 is not a good multi tasking processor. |

I don't think E8400 is not a good multi tasking processor. for better FPS, it depends on your GPU and CPU MHz |

see what kind of games u play, mostly dual core with higher clock speed give u more fps.......
but some games are getting into quad core too, but utilization still very low. but u get 2 more core to do other stuffin the background |

QUOTE(OC4/3 @ Apr 15 2008, 08:33 PM) well one of da limitation of 975 board is the fsb .. u cant go very high fsb.. even 400 also quite hard for quad core in normal situation compared to 965 chipset that can easily surpass 400..but i still prefer 975 board over the 965. however, i dun this is the best board for quaddie now. i think either p35 or x48 board will do the job better than the 975.. |

QUOTE(ckffeng @ Apr 16 2008, 12:00 AM) it's hard to say this is better than the other one.. coz both has pros n cons..for me i prefer 975 bcoz of it provides extra stability and extra performance clock per clock.. but for max oc, it still cant beat 965 chipset .. btw, well for now if u want to choose the best mobo for quaddie, i think u can just skip this 2 boards... i believe both has their own glory in the past so lets give the highlight to the current chipsets This post has been edited by irenic: Apr 16 2008, 03:26 AM |

Hi guys. Finally got my Red Scorpion last nite. Thx to ckhoong... Quickly fix it onto my mobo with S&S kits... And OC my Q6600 to 3.2ghz (400x8). The temp for idle is 40-42 while for load is 58-61.... Is this ok? Btw I 1 to ask. If i set the vcore too high, wat will happen? I'm d proud owner of GIGABYTE EP35C-DS3R....
Added on April 18, 2008, 1:43 pmI'm using tuniq tx2. And i found tat my temp had risen 2day. risen ab 2-3C during idlle. Why is this happening? Is it becos i din apply the thermalpaste properly? Full speed fan. Added on April 18, 2008, 1:45 pmBtw, my vcore is set at 1.375 now at 3.2ghz. Added on April 18, 2008, 2:01 pmHehehe... Sorry, I forgot that I din close my casing last nite.... I closed it just now. And stress using OCCT. the temperature shoots to 65 which is the temp i set for OCCT as max temp. Is this over too hot? I'm using Lian-LI PC007 with 2 stock 12cm fans and i add a 8cm fan at the top.... Can anybody teach me wat to do to reduce my temP? I'm not feeling so comfortable with it.....
