u guys can reach 3.6ghz at 1.39v ........ ur proc is good, mine only get do at 1.55v above but not stable enough for dual orthos.........

now settling at 3.33 but still accpetable for me..........

try to use ntune with a cpu plug in, the temperature monitor should be quite accurate, or simply core temp. Ninja is still quite capable

most G0 can run 400x8 at stock voltage, ........

but 1.4 @ 3.6 ghz is really good.......... mine bloody one can boot a ta 1.5 @ 3.6ghz 400*9 but cannot do anything ....... push to 1.55 still the same, in the end up give up....... lazy to buy another processor to try again

ur temperature is way too high already, ninja should be on par with HR-01.... mine idle temp around 45 (different on each core) load around 55 or some at 3.33ghz. 3.6 reading i could not remember but aound 65 ++

but i mange to keep my eist and thermal management on at 3.33ghz, help reduce the temp quite a lot. Now after changing to 3870, the hot component in my pc turns out to be the processor hehe......

it seems batch 734 got some good 1........

i'm suspecting something, it seems 4 phase power not quite sufficient in OC a quad core, anyone got comment on this ???

Qiw, try to put some volage over the northbridge, helps alot for asus p5k series mobo in OC.

u dun see significant drop in temperature during idle or IFX 14, it will only show true colour durig loading...... but ur seems a bit high, may be u have to re apply ur thermal paste (too much paste?)

btw gengstapo, what is ur v core.. ur mobo temp probe showing some madness temp wor

i will keep the processor as long as my favourite game still can run smooth on it........ hehe

1.5v to get it stable..hrm...... should i venture above 1.45v for daily used processor....... hard decision...... hehe

btw gengstapo, thx for info....

dante18, pump voltage that all........ most mobo nowadays does not need much tweaking to get q6600 to 3.2 ghz.......a slight increament can get u there

VT-ten, that temperature is abnormal for stock speed if not mistaken, need some members to confirm that... i remember mine only hovering around 30oC ++ for all 4 cores.

so far usually i only test the system for orthos to complete the cycle ( i also dunno how long hehe, but normally i see it runs for 1 hr then ok for me already)... so far in supremecommander it never crash on me, so no problem for me. Previously i was having some bottleneck at 3.0ghz, the game is slide show; but after pumping to 3.33 problem solved......

what mobo u using listing out the spec are easier for others to guide u....

btw u should set the memory multiplier too, (i dunno how does ur bios work)

1.27v but i'm not sure correct or not since i dunno the exact vcore from my mobo......... it shows 1.28v stock, then i minus -125mv thats it.

but why u want to go as low as possible even with an ifx14 ???

well bad thing about my DFI, u cannot see how much is the actual voltage being set. vdroop is about 0.003v, but it not proportion so no way of telling. but as a guide, shawty's screen shot is good, stock voltage can get to 3.2 easily

3.6ghz at stock vcore is really something there............

so far mine need around 1.54v to reach 3.6ghz...... but temp is way too high around 65oC, so i back it down...... now back to 3.2ghz...

i'm suspecting that my board is holding me back, 4 phase power seems to be lacking stability........ anyone have comment on this ?

i'm using core temp and rivatuner to monitor temperature, i'm using hr-01 with a vizo fan and a evercool aluminum fan as exhaust (slightly distance away)...... ambient i think around 32 also...... malaysia typical...

wah it seems some chip really created unequal.......1.4v for 3.6ghz is really good, feel like swapping mine to try my luck..

gengstapo, most proberly ur heat sink is not seat properly, seems to be too high ur temp. Any 60oC should be still save i guess, as the processor recommended operating temp around 71oC. just piece of advise, if ur heat sink have plastic clip or pin better get rid of it before it get melted like my HR-01, change to bolt thru kit improves the temp too.

well from a bit of note for my setup, i still enable the c1e and thermal management in bios at 3.2ghz (1.32v) and the prvious 3.3 ghz (1.42v) the voltage is indicative( cant remember, forgot to save screenshot or jolt down); but to go above i need to disable all those. Well there are a few degree drop in the temperature when those are enable.

well if 1.275 u can play game without crashes why not? u get lower temperature....

mine is about the same, i can play games and do everything fine, just cannot prime without higher voltage pump........ so i left it a lower for lower temp for daily use, since i dun get crashes or any bsod....

you can turn the option off in some motherboard......

but serious it good, u can get it stable at 3.8ghz, but prolong run at 1.55v is rather dangerous
