QUOTE(ikram_p @ Jan 17 2021, 10:39 AM) don't have a Sony but I once read saying only LG bluetooth work with LG TV. But since gotten a LG, I have plug in 2 wireless bluetooth headphone and they both work without a hitch.so I presume you shouldn't worry too much and just go ahead and try. |

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Oct 12 2020, 04:11 PM) Mind to share your thinking behind getting a 55x9000h as opposed to a 65x8000h? I'm thinking to get the bigger screen one, which is the latter... in the shop they will compare for you to see, but if you want bigger screen get what ever you can afford. Once you go home, cannot compare you will not realized the difference. thats my point of view, dont make your self suffer, unless you have extra to squeeze, then buy the best one. |

QUOTE(Convael @ Jan 15 2021, 10:37 AM) Uh , no . Not even close . What if you watch tv in a normal lighted room? Would the X90H be 90% of an OLED?I know what X90H is capable of , I have calibrated 3 units of this TV since last year . People who said they look identical are none but who took a simple glance in the store . You are literally comparing a LCD TV with 32 zones of light control with 8 millions individually-lit pixels . Meaning ? You have to divide the whole screen into 32 zones , any bright object which is smaller than 4% of the screen is going to cause blooming and thus reduced contrast and dynamic range surrounding the object. Now consider both contrast and dynamic range are important factors in determining picture quality , LCD TV would need to reach at least 1000 cd/m2 - 1500 cd/m2 to achieve the same level of pop and dynamic range . Even when they do , there are plenty of issues such as blooming and uneven bright uniformity due to current flawed implementation of FALD . These effects are further alleviated when you're in a dark room , where true black shows its " true colors " by melting into the backtround , giving you a sense of depth like no others . Add in the fact that a large majority of the OLED TV came from the flagship series featuring the best anti reflective coating & best picture processing , comparing it with an OLED TV is simply unrealistic . This is not to say X90H sucks and in fact it is one of the best mid-range LCD we have gotten in the past few years . Let's just say X90H is in a very good spot for the bang of your bucks . I once saw a 950G in a bright showroom and I was very impressed. |

Probably it has something to do with your WIFI connection; it just needs a stable connection (mine registers 200-300 Mbps WIFI5@5G connection). I face no issue screen mirroring any content from Ipad mini 4 (running IpadOS 14.3) to Sony X9000H TV (with the latest firmware v6.0414). For example, I can watch a live game stream from Facebook Gaming for a long as I want over AirPlay. Other than that, I think there is a timeout if no AirPlay activity. |

I try to search for plex device. The youtube 4k documentary like in ocean or forest scene is throughly breathtaking. I have seen other 4k lcd tv can do. But this tv is really good. Sound is average. But enough for me, as my ear not use to soundbar or m system. |

We are not concerned about your Unifi package. We are only concerned about the WIFI connection capability and stability to connect all devices in your home network.I also have played a 12GB ultra HD 10-bit video but it said video cant be played. I am using a SanDisk thumb drive. Is the USB port have a low transfer rate or it is the thumb drive? Have any tried with an HDD? Any problem? Remember, the Airplay is only capable of a maximum of 720p playback for screen mirroring mode in a 4:3 TV aspect ratio (for Ipad). I found out about this when trying to screen mirror a media source at 1080p but the Ipad mini 4 cut the video stream and only allowed the audio (with a centered dialog box showing the audio icon only on the Ipad) to be screen mirrored to the TV. But, if your stream media has the Apple AirPlay Cast icon shown, enabling the Cast icon will allow a full-screen TV ratio casting irrespective of source resolution; albeit with degraded cast quality on a 4K TV. So, I suspect there is still the same Airplay resolution limitation applied here. Guides https://support.apple.com/en-my/HT204289 https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208728 https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204291 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4249881 https://www.aroged.com/2021/01/12/sony-supp...-2021-tv-range/ About USB playback, X90H only supports the following codecs: USB PLAYBACK CODECS: MPEG1: MPEG1/MPEG2PS: MPEG2/MPEG2TS (HDV, AVCHD): MPEG2, AVC/MP4 (XAVC S): AVC, MPEG4, HEVC/AVI: Xvid, MotionJpeg/ASF (WMV): VC1/MOV: AVC, MPEG4, MotionJpeg/MKV: Xvid, AVC, MPEG4, VP8. HEVC/WEBM: VP8/3GPP: MPEG4, AVC/MP3/ASF (WMA)/LPCM/WAV/MP4AAC/FLAC/JPEG; WEBM: VP9/AC4/Ogg/AAC/ARW (Screen nail only) About the AV1, the new video coding format for streaming media (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AV1; don't confuse it with AVI, the Audio Video Interleave): No native AV1 codec support even though the custom MediaTek 5895 chip used in X90H is based on S900 SoC which the latter is able to support the AV1 codec at up to 8K@30Hz. I read somewhere that Sony didn't use the GPU in the chip to process images; it routes the image processing to its X1 HDR processor that is unrelated to codecs. If you play any AV1 video available on Youtube, the video stream will be running using the VP9 codec instead (open the Youtube Nerds mode option to see which codec used). I have verified that the AV1 codec is not reported in the AIDA64 system info app. Note that the same chip may be used on all coming-soon Sony 2021 XR series TV models which will have Google TV support. Maybe, Sony will do something to support the AV1 codec with this chip. The AV1 codec will be important since Google has recently announced that it requires AV1 support available on any TV device that wants to run Android 10 and beyond. https://www.mediatek.com/products/digitalTv/s900-mt9950 https://chinagadgetsreviews.com/mediatek-5g...v1-streams.html https://www.avsforum.com/threads/owners-thr...125278/page-465 https://www.notebookcheck.net/Google-is-pus...1.515476.0.html https://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subac...4#disqus_thread You need to connect your USB HDD to the faster USB 3.1 port (the blue-colored one) on X90H TV and make sure the HDD supports USB 3.x speed.
