Anybody else with 2020 sony model tv got this issue other than x90h?

I could not check on this issue since I don't have any audio system yet.

Maybe, can you test to "force close" any last apps you open before you power off the TV to see if there is any noticeable audio pop coming out?

65 inch can fit honda city?
*
If you are talking about the 65" X9000H (KD-65X9000H), the box package is approx. 157.6 x 96.1 x 18.6 cm

See "DIMENSION OF PACKAGE CARTON (W X H X D)" at https://www.sony.com.my/electronics/support.../specifications

I know that the back seat of Honda City can be folded but you need to get the box measurements above to confirm.

In my case, I asked my trusted friend who owns a 2019 Ford Ranger to bring my TV set home! Even the package length wouldn't fit the cargo box of his Ranger (had to open the cargo box door) when laid down horizontally.

About VRR and ALLM, there seems to be some misunderstanding with US Sony tech support.

Only the US region has this issue:
Latest omits VRR and ALLM: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00246472
But, the one archived on 4 Nov 2020: https://web.archive.org/web/20201104164724/...ticles/00246472

VRR and ALLM are still will be supported as promised for other regions as for now:

You can use this Sony app as well to type in text if you don't have any keyboard

Thank you. My wife's iPhone airplay won't work smoothly when project through the TV. She wants to stream Korean drama. Somehow when trying full screen. The tv disconnect airplay. So it better to try stream from tv itself.
*
Probably it has something to do with your WIFI connection; it just needs a stable connection (mine registers 200-300 Mbps WIFI5@5G connection). I face no issue screen mirroring any content from Ipad mini 4 (running IpadOS 14.3) to Sony X9000H TV (with the latest firmware v6.0414). For example, I can watch a live game stream from Facebook Gaming for a long as I want over AirPlay. Other than that, I think there is a timeout if no AirPlay activity.

I think not to update yet for x90H. But my wife uses an ip11 with the latest firmware. N my line is Unifi turbo 800. I try to update to the latest version.
I also have played a 12GB ultra HD 10-bit video but it said video cant be played. I am using a SanDisk thumb drive. Is the USB port have a low transfer rate or it is the thumb drive? Have any tried with an HDD? Any problem?
*
We are not concerned about your Unifi package. We are only concerned about the WIFI connection capability and stability to connect all devices in your home network.

Remember, the Airplay is only capable of a maximum of 720p playback for screen mirroring mode in a 4:3 TV aspect ratio (for Ipad).

I found out about this when trying to screen mirror a media source at 1080p but the Ipad mini 4 cut the video stream and only allowed the audio (with a centered dialog box showing the audio icon only on the Ipad) to be screen mirrored to the TV.

But, if your stream media has the Apple AirPlay Cast icon shown, enabling the Cast icon will allow a full-screen TV ratio casting irrespective of source resolution; albeit with degraded cast quality on a 4K TV. So, I suspect there is still the same Airplay resolution limitation applied here.

About USB playback, X90H only supports the following codecs:

USB PLAYBACK CODECS:
MPEG1: MPEG1/MPEG2PS: MPEG2/MPEG2TS (HDV, AVCHD): MPEG2, AVC/MP4 (XAVC S): AVC, MPEG4, HEVC/AVI: Xvid, MotionJpeg/ASF (WMV): VC1/MOV: AVC, MPEG4, MotionJpeg/MKV: Xvid, AVC, MPEG4, VP8. HEVC/WEBM: VP8/3GPP: MPEG4, AVC/MP3/ASF (WMA)/LPCM/WAV/MP4AAC/FLAC/JPEG; WEBM: VP9/AC4/Ogg/AAC/ARW (Screen nail only)

About the AV1, the new video coding format for streaming media (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AV1; don't confuse it with AVI, the Audio Video Interleave):
No native AV1 codec support even though the custom MediaTek 5895 chip used in X90H is based on S900 SoC which the latter is able to support the AV1 codec at up to 8K@30Hz. I read somewhere that Sony didn't use the GPU in the chip to process images; it routes the image processing to its X1 HDR processor that is unrelated to codecs. If you play any AV1 video available on Youtube, the video stream will be running using the VP9 codec instead (open the Youtube Nerds mode option to see which codec used). I have verified that the AV1 codec is not reported in the AIDA64 system info app.

Note that the same chip may be used on all coming-soon Sony 2021 XR series TV models which will have Google TV support. Maybe, Sony will do something to support the AV1 codec with this chip.

The AV1 codec will be important since Google has recently announced that it requires AV1 support available on any TV device that wants to run Android 10 and beyond.

You need to connect your USB HDD to the faster USB 3.1 port (the blue-colored one) on X90H TV and make sure the HDD supports USB 3.x speed.

I am surprised nobody here is talking about the blur issues, the HDMI 2.0 4k/120 Hz, and loss of sound for the Sony x900h.

Did you guys update your TVs is it is because you guys haven't tested Ps5 on it
*
If you are talking about 4K@120Hz on the X90H series issue, the 4k@120Hz mode is only supported in the Enhanced mode (not the Dolby Vision mode) on the HDMI 2.1 ports (3 and 4); that mode not available on the HDMI 2.0 ports (1 and 2).

Sorry, I couldn't test this mode since I don't have any gaming rig and gaming consoles. I currently use the TV for OTT streaming only.

Yeah movies are fine but the main issue will arise when most Malaysians get their Ps5. I'll update as often

Hi sorry. Noob question.

I'm using sony x75h. But couldn't cast my iPhone to the tv.

How to cast my iPhone to the tv? Already downloaded google home on my iPhone. But cannot detect the tv.

I go to setting, then go to Chromecast, there is nothing there. Built-in Chromecast on the tv is always on right?

So what should I do?

X75h doesn't support apple airplay.

Before this I use Panasonic led tv, I plug in google Chromecast, I can use it with my iPhone.

But now w this sony tv w a built-in Chromecast, my google home couldn't detect the tv.

  • If you are using WIFI: make sure you are on the same WIFI SSID irrespective of its 2.4 or 5GHz band. But, if you set so many guest SSIDs; by default, they are isolated from one another - true for ASUS routers; the isolation mode can be disabled if you want so that all guest WIFI SSIDs can reach each other. If you want to maintain the WIFI SSID isolation for the guest network, then you must use the same WIFI SSID as the TV. It is necessary since Google Cast needs to broadcast its service protocol for the Google Cast clients to discover the service.
  • Install Google Home app. Check the Google Home permissions settings in your iPhone: make sure Bluetooth and Local Network are allowed; the latter is the most important one; I don't know why Bluetooth is needed unless it is used for the Bonjour service.
  • Check the visibility of the Google Cast service with an Android phone and the Google Home app, using the same Google account used on your iPhone. It is to make sure your Google account used to set up the Google Home settings in your Android phone is the same Google account used on your iPhone. Hopefully, it should work fine.
  • If after checking with an Android phone it failed, then check the Chromecast built-in app in your TV settings under the Apps section: make sure it is enabled and reboot the TV
  • If you don't have an Android phone, you can test the same thing by casting from the Chrome browser on your laptop (but not on your iPhone since it is not supported) using the same Google account.
  • For the last resort, refer https://www.sony.com.my/electronics/support...ticles/00135371

Hi Guys, want to you check,
Anyone know that if the speaker & TV are connected via Bluetooth, does it stay paired after reboot or turn Off/On the TV?

Especially X90H model
Speaker always turned On
*
I have JBL GO portable speaker paired to X90H. If I power off the speaker, the pairing disconnects.

When I turn it back on, X90H reestablishes the pairing with the speaker without doing anything on our side.

But, my speaker has a power-saving feature: if don't use it for a while, it will disconnect by itself.

I realized that the US and Euro have newer firmware than the Asia Pacific.

Is it possible to install firmware from other regions?

While the rest of the world still uses Android 9 for X90H...
Sony US and Sony Latin already have had Android 10 upgrade firmware for the X90H series since June 2021!

https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/software/00263736
https://www.sony-latin.com/en/electronics/s...ftware/00263736

With Android 10, it will support the new AV1 streaming codec, HDR10+, and Google TV-style UI interface (unless the last one is region-restricted in the US)

Noted broader Dolby Vision support for local media. "Using Plex app, I can now stream all of my 4K rips with DV support. Previously only 1 or 2 movies can play in DV mode." (reported in AVSForum X90H topic)

However there is a bug with this v 6.1020 Android 10 upgrade

Local dimming issue

Release notes for Android 10 upgrade for X90H series (X900H / X90CH)

https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00260607

Also, an AVSForum user has reported that Sony will fix the 4K@120Hz blur issue on the X90H series somewhere in mid-August 2021...
