I know what X90H is capable of , I have calibrated 3 units of this TV since last year .


People who said they look identical are none but who took a simple glance in the store .

You are literally comparing a LCD TV with 32 zones of light control with 8 millions individually-lit pixels .
Meaning ? You have to divide the whole screen into 32 zones , any bright object which is smaller than 4% of the screen is going to cause blooming and thus reduced contrast and dynamic range surrounding the object.

Now consider both contrast and dynamic range are important factors in determining picture quality , LCD TV would need to reach at least 1000 cd/m2 - 1500 cd/m2 to achieve the same level of pop and dynamic range .
Even when they do , there are plenty of issues such as blooming and uneven bright uniformity due to current flawed implementation of FALD .


These effects are further alleviated when you're in a dark room , where true black shows its " true colors " by melting into the backtround , giving you a sense of depth like no others .

Add in the fact that a large majority of the OLED TV came from the flagship series featuring the best anti reflective coating & best picture processing , comparing it with an OLED TV is simply unrealistic .


This is not to say X90H sucks and in fact it is one of the best mid-range LCD we have gotten in the past few years .
Let's just say X90H is in a very good spot for the bang of your bucks .

Technical you are the expertise. But when regular user sit and watch side by side. They probably notice minor difference such as i. The only things i notice is the black level between both oled and x90h.

You have to understand not all buyer cant differentiate picture quality and sound quality like an experts do.

This isn't about OLED competing with a 2000 cd/m , 500 dimming zones QLED where both fighters are armed to the teeth.


It is a comparison between 2 different technology from different time , each backed up by numbers , has a different price point and one is clearly superior than another and thus far more expensive .

Even my 5 years old niece could pick up the difference when she saw more ' wrinkles " on the shirt of Deadpool [definitely not a good movie for 5 y.o ] between an OLED TV and LCD .

Haha..for your room I think 55 is adequate enough. For 65' you need to sit much further than with a 55'. i think the X90H is too hot in demand now. Going to wait for the stocks and the price to cool down first.

The 55inch price is just too hard to resist. From the previous post, sounds like more stocks are coming in this month. I don't think i can wait till July for the new model to reach here haha. Was considering the 55inch LG CX also but the price hasn't drop much.

Looks like stocks coming in are for those who had ordered previous month or longer..
If you order now maybe still need to wait few months..

Quoted RM3,600 for the 55 inch here from a local electrical store in Kuching. Good price? Have to wait for a few days for them to transfer the available stock here from their other branch in another town.

2021 model lineup will arrive malaysia market very late i think. Maybe in MAY or maybe JUN. I think its to long for waiting.

I think Stop the FOMO has a point. He refer the offical Sony USA website regarding VRR and ALM. And he also ask Sony support to clarify that issue. The answer he got that VRR and ALM will not be available.

Sony USA should be very carefull when update something on their official website. Silly mistake can make a chaos.

From someone coming from a 11 year old Plasma TV, no complaints

But I agree with what someone else mentioned here, I think 5 yrs warranty is necessary if you don't plant to change TV often.

Not once in the 11 years, my Plasma gave me trouble, in the end traded it in for RM100 to SenHeng. They don't make TVs like they used to.
