QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jan 23 2008, 04:43 PM) @dream boy aduh! do this for me, when u do super pi32M, use task manager and see how much load is your proc taking/ and how much load is your ram taking. THe super pi32M is for your ram la adik. OCCT take up to 99% confirmed load for 20 minutes. Thats why its almost 60 degrees... Is it? I thought Super PI is more of an overall test for system stability But then again... My CPU load is also 100%, just like when I'm running OCCT

well i believe it depends also on the instruction that a test program gives to the cpu that creates such a load. hmm.

no it doesnt test stability entirely, but it is a good and fast indicator for rams as well as processor, because it is very sensitive to instabilities. This post has been edited by bryanyeo87: Jan 24 2008, 02:47 AM

dont waste your money on pro, ip35-e is good enough a board compared to the pro series, only short change is the raid function and solid caps. Otherwise, OC capabilities are rather similar.

Wondering here guys, buy turning ON the C1E and Intel Speed Step technology, would it automatically change the FSB and multiplier?
I always thought it only turn down the multiplier to save energy. Cause yesterday, i tried turning it on and when i launched my trusty CoreTemp, its showing me that i am running at 400 * 6 (2.4Ghz). My original clock was supposed to be 300 * 8 (2.4Ghz).
Then, i tried running extensive program and the clock went back to the 300 * 8...

But somewhat i believe coretemp can show some buggy and weird results C1E and EIST changes the multiplier not the FSB

I don't think they will change the FSB, only the multiplier C1E = Lowers voltage on idle EIST = Lowers multiplier on idle Basically both are energy saving modules. I turn them off on my boards as i'm running Folding@Home full time which defeats the purpose of those features anyway

@all anyone here can recommend a board that can easily do 500Mhz on FSB?
Added on January 24, 2008, 10:17 pm@ALL
Hello guys and girls. I am vouching for an add for super pi results separately or together with the previous thread of super pi so we can do some stable benchmarks and post 1M super pis. So gear up and lets OC guys. with stability of course..!! and also feel free to ask lots and lots of questions! here!

but cannot la, i dont know whether its the revision of the board or the bios. i just cant go beyond it. Anyone here knows which bios revision to use for the 500Mhz Fsb?

Did you try with lower multi to get higher fsb ? I dont think there's any problem to hit 500mhz. NB overheat ?

Maybe its the buggy CoreTemp anyway since i turn them off again... QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 25 2008, 12:26 AM) ABIT board does that too but on top of that, you get to clear CMOS from the IO ports. LOL...Same case with my Asus mobo. You will have a Clear CMOS button at the IO board and it will auto reset the setting if overclocking fails...

NB overheat ? nop its definitely not NB overheating coz i have tried the same with CoolerMaster BLueIce2 and a big big cpu cooler, with my previous e6750 and its still the same. Now i am shifting attention to the BIOS revisions. BIOS revisions do have a certain relationship with OCing the FSB but no one here is using the IP35-e so its difficult la.
