Overall, still depends on your usage, if you feel you dun need high processing speed, then its ok. Cos laptop most important is value for money, better buy according to your budget and moderate, then few years later get a new one with new technology. Dun throw in all the cash for the latest tech now, since 3 years later it is still cosider as old tech. Cos tech item wont last forever.

3dMark test on memory and processor too. Not graphic only, so you using t7300 definitely higher. If i not mistaken, he using t5250 only. So definitely got difference.

well, i'm using 1.5 ghz c2d as well, performance wise yea sometimes its quite a pain in the ass since it was the only bottleneck i have in my laptop, the 2gram and 256mb geforce 8600 was ok. so when running some higher graphic application stuff need to wait a few sec to load la, but still i consider its acceptable for me since i din do much programming stuff or need anything tat requires lotsa application processing power.

Dell sell at Rm3434

the spec is quite nice and if the selling price not more than Rm3000 , u can take it ..mind to tell u tat dell hdd is 160gb as std spec ...no more 80gb as stated by u in ur post ...

and T5250 is not 800mzh FSB , its only 667mhz FSB

and make sure it still under warranty and change the ownership immediately b4 u get the unit ...

try to nego wif seller and get it below Rm2999  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Hey guys, any of you have issues with your bluetooth? It's saying it doesn't have a driver or something like that. Was too sleepy so don't remember it very well. I think I did a something like an "automatic search" but it couldn't find anything online.

So yeah, what's up? I can't seem to connect my dell to my other laptop or to my phone properly (phone can't connect to laptop but vice versa is fine).

Anyone care to hazard a guess?

Using vista or xp? Vista have the dell bluetooth driver build in. Just turn on and it will auto install. And you can even update it with windows update. XP i not so sure.

I face this problem with my customer before. First i try to install the bluetooth driver from Dell device driver CD...can't complete the installation with error. After few time install and reboot still the same.

Lastly call up DELL and they change the bluetooth device for me. No more problem now. thumbup.gif

Vista is crap... there is no point upgrading your processor and RAM only for Vista to slow you down... you probably need some patch update to install older games in Vista... if you have XP i suggest you install now icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Core 2 Duo is 15% faster than Core Duo if same clock speed. So C2D 1.5 means 1.5x1.15=1.725Ghz. So a 1.8 Core Duo performs better than it. However, it is using 965 chipset instead of 945. So better for your future upgrade as the processor can be upgrade. If want review, check here:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Core-D...Duo.2404.0.html
http://crave.cnet.co.uk/laptops/0,39029450,49283370,00.htm
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Proces...ist.2436.0.html
So, my advise is depends on your budget, if really tight budget, better go for a T2450 2.0 Core Duo. Best performance for the price. If got budget, go for at least 1.6+ C2D. Dun spend half way and buy 1.5C2D and regret. You can have a look at the previous page where some forumer complained bout their 1.5. Overall, still depends on your usage, if you feel you dun need high processing speed, then its ok. we try to narrow the root cause and find out first whether is router issue or laptop issue before shit ppl, it's memper"sia-sui"kan or you think u're lowest/non- educated ppl !

since you said your uncle laptop also cant access your house wifi, you may just focus on your router setting. (not sure may consider hard reset your router)

suggestion: try your laptop on other wifi hot-spot, if also cant work then read below:

try to apply this Intel Utility Patches ----> http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R162289.EXE
it's work for me as encounter intermittently drop and cant detect signal issue.
make sure ur router also compatible with vista.
