How to connect the 2nd hand white box with the router which already use the 4th port for the existing white/silver box?

Or are you referring to box with android tv os such as xiaomi box/stick?

It's not easy to find 2nd hand new unifitv box

Is it true that the new unitv box is using 'standard internet' as compared to the old box that using a 'dedicated 8Mbps line via LAN 4?

People wants UPB previously because it was a good deal back then and you can't get Unifi TV app anywhere else without sideloading modded APK
Now that it is available natively on Android TV devices from PlayStore, nobody wants it anymore

Thought so too. Now I'm using my TX6 to watch unifitv in my room. HD Quality quite ok.

Yes, internet connection from any provider is possible for new box

And androidtv box/tv is compatible with unifitv app officially from androidtv play store (not the phone/tablet play store)

install kodi & netflix addons
but cant get full HD

Check if the speed can support the usage and stream

Anybody successfull mapping plusbox remote?
Enable hdmi cec can only turn off the box & TV but cannot turn on the box except ori plusbox remote.
Using air mouse also not working to turn on box.


For those who dunno how to side load apps using Pc, can use this software on your android phone:
1. Install Easy Fire Tools.apk on your android phone.
2. Make sure your phone and box connect on same wifi network.
3. USB debug must be on on both device
4. Discover and connect your phone to your tv box, it will auto detect.
5. Just select the installed apps or downloaded apps on your phone to be sideload to your box.
6. You can do it while watching Tv or watch movie on your box
7. Find your new installed apps on Apps Drawer or Sideload Launcher.

I have a bit of a problem needed solving. How do I play a stream from a provider (mixdrop, gcloud, etc..) on the unifi plus box? I've sideloaded an app (freeflix HQ) that streams from the providers, but the UPB won't play any stream from all providers. I know it works because I have another TV box that plays it no problem.

The same goes for streams on any webpage from any browser except for puffin tv (subscription required)

Default player fro freeflix should be able to otherwise download mx player and set it as default player in freeflix setting. Alternative look up for latest Beetv in apk pure

Nope, doesn't do anything. Still no stream loading. Just endless circles on one stream or sometimes error "This video could not be played Error some numbers"

Tried BeeTV and I can't even get any of the pictures to load. Tried to select and it does absolutely nothing. Not much options too.

Regarding Browsers on UPB, only Puffin TV Browser managed to play any type of stream, while other browsers failed to load.

Any other options?

You have to install it from the PC, via ADB install command prompt.

thx! finally i manage to install. but some apk it said succesful but not show in the list. some other apk manage to install.

4 mobile version apk, you should dig into sytem app, there u will found it. Or u can jus install any launcher from plystore.

There some trick from xda forum to install atv version on plusbox, but need to decompile and compile apk..and its work like charm although quality just HD 😂
