my compliments to your team. Made multiple transactions today and all very smooth. Looks like Opus Touch and Boost integration is finally stable. May I suggest a weekly/monthly newsletter from Opus to unit holders on market overview conditions etc. etc. For example how will yesterday's OPR cut affect Opus investments etc. Good info for the public + exposure for Opus |

QUOTE(calvin84 @ Jan 19 2020, 06:46 PM) First of all, I would like to make a disclaimer here. I am not the authorize spokesperson for my company. So whatever I post here is just purely fact and my personal opinion. Hi,As for now, we are working on some of our business strategy and do stay and follow us for more upcoming exciting features or campaign. Can't disclose much but CNY is around the corner, I believe Boost will have more campaign which may applicable by investing in our fund as well as other merchants on their platform. We do adhere to a very strict and high level of AMLA and Anti-Terrorist Funding Guideline, as you know we are govern and licensed under Securities Commission Malaysia. We are subject to a lot of audit and we strongly believe we are on the right track and continuously engage closely with our regulators with our plan. Hi @TheRant, I am glad that you throw this question out. As I mentioned earlier I am not the spokesperson, but I do wish to tell you that our fund invest in Investment Grade Bond and Government Guaranteed Bond, there is no junk bond in our portfolio to achieve that 8% return. You may look at https://www.opusasset.com/products/unit-trust-funds/ and check out on the fact sheet of the funds to look for the distribution of bond ratings in the funds. I believe you know what a junk bond rating are. Perhaps you would be more impressed if you find out more about the funds and understand how our fund manager works hard in delivering the returns without taking unnecessary risk. In OpusAM, we believe in risk adjusted return and we do not take excessive risk to chase for unnecessary returns, overall Bond Funds are meant to be conservative and generate steady returns to investor. We rather not making more returns than having our investor suffer in lost, of course for short term due to certain market constraint it may have losses, but in long term 1-3 years time, in overall bond fund should give you a steady return. Hope my answer can clear your doubt. And is good that you are not a risk taker, so perhaps if you find out more about our funds then you can have better confidence with us. Do u know if we buy opus fund today, before what time, still consider buy today? This post has been edited by sl3ge: Jan 23 2020, 12:34 PM |

We do have some market outlook but is currently only available to some of our partners. There are some upcoming update in our pipeline. I am not fit to give any investment advice here as I don't represent my company as spokespersons. I do can share my personal understanding and basic knowledge which is if OPR rate cut, for those existing investors in bonds would benefits as yield of the bond may go down accordingly to market, and once yield go down the price of the bond will go up which will reflect in an unrealized profit & loss. Regardless of how interest rate move, bond fund investment is still a necessary asset class in portfolio construction. In general, we would suggest people to put investment into bond fund rather than fixed deposits as you can generate a better risk adjusted return from it. My two cents. We would have some investment talks from time to time, we would see if there is any opportunities to have some to retails. |

Thanks. |
