Hi, I would like to ask if i sell the fund that worth of RM1k, how much will i get?
Is it still need to deduct the 0.85% and 0.025%?
*
The management Fee 0.85% p.a. and 0.025% Trustee Fee p.a. is calculated and accrued daily. It will reflect in the daily price after end of the day. So you don't need to pay any fee out of pocket and it is all reflected in the fund price calculation, won't deduct your units or anything.

Because there is no front end charges, RM 1000 investment you will get exactly equivalent RM1000 worth of units based on the price of the fund at the end of the day.

As for payment successfully deducted from your wallet but confirmation page is not shown due to some network issue or unforeseen circumstances, rest assured that Opus Asset Management did a very good practice to check all the pending and unsuccessful transaction every 30 minutes with Boost and will update the investors about the transaction status.

Happy Investing with OpusAM.

you are with OpusAM?
hmm means risky to add investment on weekend
*
Yes. I am with OpusAM. I came to put some post here because I saw there are some questions and unclear answer to those questions, so I wish to make some clarity on it. Do drop some questions here and if I can assist to answer, I would update everyone here. smile.gif

Actually there is no risk to add investment at any point of time. Although our working hours are 8:30 to 5:30, but we have scheduler to update and execute everything at its own without much human intervention. We know how to reconcile the transactions and status effectively.

biggrin.gif I believe some of you who contacted our client services also will give good comment to their effort and help in resolving most of your problems. Thanks for giving us a chance to serve you.

If you like our service, do introduce to your friends and families, we wish that everyone will aware of the benefits of fixed income and achieve their life goals with us.
Thanks.

welcome. thank tan_aniki for opening the thread, and even boost awareness in the Boost thread smile.gif

i tend to do my transactions in the AM and had poor experience with Opus Touch during that time (QR code page did even come out).  Eventually use my phone and do the login style - but did not manage to complete any Boost missions because of that.
*
Sorry for the poor experience. I think everything is still smooth in Opus Touch until the payment page right? To be honest, that is out of our control as we called the payment gateway of Boost and it depends on Boost response already. However we have consistently feedback to them on some of the downtime and experience, will try to improve together.

The poor experience could be caused by the major network traffic for the e-Tunai claim.

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Jan 19 2020, 12:10 AM)
no just weekend, thursday already like that
i didn't know about Opus until saw the Boost RM5 cashback campaign on Opus, which is quite late around 26 Dec whereby the campaign already started on 8 Dec...

anyway this Opus is a gem~
saw my investment keep increasing without worry 2% gonna chopped off like others lol (don't mention who as sky know ground know you know i know)
*
We have been incorporate in Asset Management since 2005 but we started by servicing sophisticated investors until 2018 year end, we got our Unit Trust license which can service the major retail market and yeah...here we are.

People on the street may not really know who we are but we are quite well known in the financial services industry for our work quality.

Thanks for loving us. Continue your support with us and let your friends and families know us.

Thank you for your presence here; definitely helps with all the support we can get. Can you share some of your roadmap for the people on the street? Are you going to support more e-wallets as your payment method? Are you going to implement referral program/reward for our friends and families? Anything exciting coming in this or next quarter?

We (at least for me) are equally excited.
*
First of all, I would like to make a disclaimer here. I am not the authorize spokesperson for my company. So whatever I post here is just purely fact and my personal opinion.

As for now, we are working on some of our business strategy and do stay and follow us for more upcoming exciting features or campaign. Can't disclose much but CNY is around the corner, I believe Boost will have more campaign which may applicable by investing in our fund as well as other merchants on their platform.

u should implement the standard to prevent money laundering like its only able to withdraw to the same source as how u top up.
*
We do adhere to a very strict and high level of AMLA and Anti-Terrorist Funding Guideline, as you know we are govern and licensed under Securities Commission Malaysia. We are subject to a lot of audit and we strongly believe we are on the right track and continuously engage closely with our regulators with our plan.

QUOTE(TheRant @ Jan 19 2020, 02:16 PM)
Do they tell you where the fund is being invested in?

Also no one puts in board rates fd.  So that money fund thingy is not very attractive in the first place.

I mean a report as to which bonds they are investing in?

8% interest is actually junk bond interest rates. Will you take the risk?
*
Hi @TheRant, I am glad that you throw this question out. As I mentioned earlier I am not the spokesperson, but I do wish to tell you that our fund invest in Investment Grade Bond and Government Guaranteed Bond, there is no junk bond in our portfolio to achieve that 8% return.

You may look at https://www.opusasset.com/products/unit-trust-funds/ and check out on the fact sheet of the funds to look for the distribution of bond ratings in the funds. I believe you know what a junk bond rating are. Perhaps you would be more impressed if you find out more about the funds and understand how our fund manager works hard in delivering the returns without taking unnecessary risk. In OpusAM, we believe in risk adjusted return and we do not take excessive risk to chase for unnecessary returns, overall Bond Funds are meant to be conservative and generate steady returns to investor. We rather not making more returns than having our investor suffer in lost, of course for short term due to certain market constraint it may have losses, but in long term 1-3 years time, in overall bond fund should give you a steady return.

Hope my answer can clear your doubt. And is good that you are not a risk taker, so perhaps if you find out more about our funds then you can have better confidence with us. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Boost inform Opus?

Secret recipe... thumbup.gif

We know how to address client's pain point as we always adopt user-centered design approach. We understand the frustration and urgency when money got deducted from wallet or bank but merchant side never take effort to check the status and give common answers. We be proactive to help users to check the status of transactions.

That's why rest assured that we are able to reconcile back the transactions within 30-60 minutes in our system and send a confirmation to investors about the status. If after 1 hour your transactions that successfully deducted from e-wallet still doesn't update to success status, then only you email to us and we will check further for you.

Beside boost, can we buy using fpx?

Any charges when use fpx?
*
cool2.gif Yeah..you can use FPX as well. FPX investment can go up to RM30,000 per transaction (subject to your bank FPX limit) do setup your limit before proceed in Opus Touch for better experience. Can check with your bank where to setup the limit as each bank portal has very different limit setting. I see also pengsan.

And Yeah...It is free of charge to invest, no additional charges by using both FPX and Boost.

my compliments to your team. Made multiple transactions today and all very smooth. Looks like Opus Touch and Boost integration is finally stable.

May I suggest  a weekly/monthly newsletter from Opus to unit holders on market overview conditions etc. etc. For example how will yesterday's OPR cut affect Opus investments etc.

Good info for the public + exposure for Opus
*
Thanks for the compliments.

I will reflect this to my management team. We do have some market outlook but is currently only available to some of our partners. There are some upcoming update in our pipeline. I am not fit to give any investment advice here as I don't represent my company as spokespersons. I do can share my personal understanding and basic knowledge which is if OPR rate cut, for those existing investors in bonds would benefits as yield of the bond may go down accordingly to market, and once yield go down the price of the bond will go up which will reflect in an unrealized profit & loss.

Regardless of how interest rate move, bond fund investment is still a necessary asset class in portfolio construction. In general, we would suggest people to put investment into bond fund rather than fixed deposits as you can generate a better risk adjusted return from it. My two cents. biggrin.gif But dont take my words for granted, again have to emphasize I am not licensed sales person, is purely share knowledge as a man on street here only.

We would have some investment talks from time to time, we would see if there is any opportunities to have some to retails.

We will try our best to deposit withdrawal money in a T+1 manner. However in the guideline we have T+10 days to settle. Do check your account tonight, it should be in.

You are right, it is standard for guideline, but actual settlement is the key. We aim to pay back the redemption proceed on a T+1 business day basis if possible. You can ask around in the forum for those who have invested and made redemption before, they will receive their money the next day if redemption request is submitted before 4pm on working day.

hi guys,
how if i wanna know that my money is safe with opus
*
Hi Epie, OpusAM is licensed under Securities Commission Malaysia and we have been incorporate for more than 14 years. You may not heard about OpusAM before because earlier we only have license to launch wholesale fund and private mandate, so our clients mainly are insurance companies and institution. We have decided to get a Unit Trust license in year 2018 and here we are to provide our service to the retail market.

Your money will be safe as OpusAM is only a Fund Manager to all the unit trust funds and wholesales funds, the money is safeguard by Trustee and you can check out more information about the funds before you start invest by downloading the prospectus and fact sheet in our website. For example, Opus IPF is with Maybank Trustee and Opus SIPF is with Standard Charted Bank Trustee.

Hi Steven, you can see the price chart at our website. For performance, you can download fact sheet.

We are in the middle of revamping our website to show better information and documentation for each fund. Stay tuned and will update here when it is updated.

thanks for ur clarification bro
i am new to unit trust investing and planning to invest quite an amount here
so i need to make sure my money is safe
*
Glad to help! rclxm9.gif

Unit Trust is just a vehicle of investment, as it is a pool of fund to invest into market and achieve common investment objective. Unit Trust can be Bond Fund (like Opus IPF, SIPF), Money Market Fund (like Opus MPF), balanced fund and equity fund. Most of the fund do not provide capital guaranteed as it is an investment and it will have risk. So I just dont want you to get misconception of "safe" as there will be no loss. Bond Fund and Money Market Fund are generally lower risk investment, so it is suitable for all people be it you are aggressive investors or conservative.

My "safe" definition earlier was explaining about the fund itself doesn't own by Fund Managers but govern and monitor by Trustee. That's how Unit Trust works.
