jpyusd still within normal down channel, just went back to the upper resistance, not yet broke to the upside yet... some folks just very excited or surprised... biggrin.gif

audjpy halfway making potential cup...if continue and pump at the lip will make 3rd touch of an upside wedge maybe next week... just realized 4hr chart made an adam and eve pattern last month...now may be repeating a smaller adam and eve for dec... i know you're not a ta guy... just entertain everyone here a bit...hahaha...

is good to be overly prepared...normally they keep the roads quite clear of snow...you can drive on snow with somewhat good traction...chains probably only required going up steep slope or if you just got hit by a blizzard and need to go somewhere quick otherwise can wait for the snow plough...was half hoping you might be doing the Ferrari/Porsche convoy type of tour brows.gif

anyways enjoy you holidays, merry christmas and happy new year to you too...

Looking to test waters on FX starting next year so maybe gonna try out demo account this month up till early next year. Looking forward to learn from all sifus here biggrin.gif

Is there any general consensus on which broker is the best so far? My timing will be during london-NY overlap and sometimes sydney-tokyo overlap.

Any broker is fine as long not scam. What matters is right entry and exit. Even with demo acc its difficult to loss money.

Trading one account, never trade pair within same currency group. Most trading day able to trigger 1-2 trades, sometime no trade rarely 3 trades at one go.

@hansel,

Just wondering , have u considered carry trade through 2 broker .

1st broker == pick the higest swap pair .
2nd broker == pick no SWAP account , open opposite direction of the 1st pair.

collect interest daily.
balance the 2 acc once a while.

Very nice MACD divergence forming in GBP pairs (daily chart). It might be a good idea to start scaling-in short orders in GBPUSD, GBPCHF and GBPCAD. Don’t over leverage. Less is more. GL and Happy Monday. smile.gif

For XM, I have no issue so far.

It depends on your preference, are you looking for ECN, STP or standard account. What type of deposit you are into. Local depositor, credit/debit card or online banking. Are you a scalper, swinger? Etc etc. icon_rolleyes.gif

I was thinking to deposit using debit card(because they allowed debit card) which link to saving account, and make withdrawal through it.

Maybe no name was embossed on the card hence why it was rejected, they did ask to try another card from DBS, HLB or Alliance Bank thought. But I don't have one, so just deposit by credit card then.

Sorry bro,...missed this post earlier,... been very busy over wife and children who came back for holidays and preparation for driving adventure in Europe.

I did consider this earlier,.. but effectively, the two positions will cancel out each other at any point in time. You can collect interest in one direction but you will need to pay interest for the same pair in the opposite direction. I can't envisage how to collect interest from the same pair in both directions,... egs,...

Buy AUDJPY and Sell AUDJPY.

Hansel,
no problem.

it';s 1 pair , 2 trades at 2 brokers.

Eg AUDJPY

Open same time :
Broker A that pay swap - LONG AUDJPY
Broker B swap free acc - SHORT AUDJPY

Once a while do balancing for both trades.

In teory , collect swap .

Well,... I seldom short,... for if the direction is wrong, the losses can pile-up if no stoploss setup properly.

I think,... the time-period allowed on a swap free SHORT AUDJPY position or trade should be very short. No broker would allow too long here.

Just manually exited all GBP shorts:

GBPUSD (from 1.314x-9x) closed here at 1.3125.
GBPCHF (from 1.302x-4x) closed here at 1.2927.
GBPCAD (from 1.745x-7x) closed here 1.7368.

I was targeting the daily EMA20 for these pairs but I decided to close all my orders prematurely in anticipation of tomorrow’s GE (I prefer to avoid the fundamental chaos). GL and Happy Trading smile.gif

bro paogeh using no name bigpay no problem... maybe is mbb... I rmb got lots of settings and approvals for the card. you asked about withdrawal that's why I asked if it's the same card used for deposit
*
Same question I had. My brokers reply was:
There is a possibility we request for an official document you need to get from your bank confirming that your card can recieve funds back thats why i recommend you to first ask your bank and insist with them

Trying to find out more info before I make initial deposit

@hansel,

Just wondering , have u considered carry trade  through 2 broker .

1st broker == pick the higest swap pair .
2nd broker == pick no SWAP account , open opposite direction of the 1st pair.

collect interest daily.
balance the 2 acc once a while.

Good idea.

I have friend work with broker. He tell me that a lot trader try to do this method.

Normally they'll know. But after a few month, etc. So, that trader can make a profit for that time. Once they detect, they will advise that trader to stop trade with them.

ge being a brexit event ... I guess anything UK and Europe will be affected

Yeah, I’m glad I got out earlier. The GE will definitely cause volatility and Gbp pairs are known to be extra “dramatic” 😂

The daily charts (for GBPUSD and GBPCHF) are still “screaming” sell.. but I prefer to wait for a better entry (new high). If we get a nice spike tomorrow, I plan to scale-in tiny short orders. smile.gif

GBPAUD looks nice to buy. Price revolve around 50% fibonacci and there is one bullish pattern on area around current price. But I secretly (not a secret anymore lol) that price will go down further until 1.9 and then only I am looking to buy. Last 2 month high is there acting as resistance become support, last 3 week high is there to acting as support too, and there is 50% weekly fibonacci around 1.9 too. Let's see how it goes

Edit: I am hoping it goes to 1.91 not 1.90 so by this time price reached there already. SL at 1.905

just woke up. Glad I missed all the drama.

Now is time to trade for real lol.

Looking for a chance to long eurusd and gbpusd. Right now all the retailers probably bought in at the high.

I'd say let price drop a little first then I'll buy.

It's almost time to buy eurusd. Question is do it now or monday.

I'm starting my grid to buy. Will keep adding until 1.1100. An hourly close below that means long is invalid.

My ea acc use 1:500. Probably if i trade manual using that ea acc i can put it down to 1:200 with same amount of capital.

Just manually closed all my sells (from 1.3330-1.3490) here at 1.3320. It is a very modest target but I was starting to feel a little uneasy so I decided to exit early (as usual 😂).

Yup, I agree that it was not the best entry but I chose to place my first pending short order there because it was the fibo 161.8 retracement level of the recent pullback (from 1.3228 to 1.3050).

The main rationale for shorting was the prominent divergence in the daily chart. Once I have determined this, I usually identify key fibo levels (in the smaller timeframe as well as the larger timeframe charts) to place short orders.

During the spike on Friday, GU actually hit many key fibo levels and stopped just a few pips shy of the 261.8 retracement level (1.3520) of the recent pullback (mentioned above).

All my short orders were between the 161.8 and 261.8 fibo retracement levels. Usually when there is prominent divergence in a bigger timeframe chart and we get a spike (new high), short orders placed in the region between these two fibo levels are “almost” fail safe.

More importantly, looking at the weekly chart, it was the first time we hit the fibo 61.8 retracement level (approx 1.3450) of the big fall (from 1.4378 to 1.1970). Hitting this key level for the first time and having a nice divergence made pullback very likely and further strengthened the rationale to short.

Btw, I am keeping an eye on this fibo 61.8 level. It may be a good opportunity to short if we get close to 1.3450 again. Failing to break and hold above it means that we will likely see fibo 50 once again (approx 1.3170). Cheers smile.gif

Ps: Sorry for being so wordy 😂

thanks for the explanation...nothing to be sorry about smile.gif

i figured you park an order there beforehand...but didn't look at fibs or bigger tf to realize it was also a key s/r level...price hitting 161.8 extension is quite normal, almost hitting 261.8 is something else

a stop loss should be a logical area which it would invalid your setup.. not just a fixed amount of pips

then you size your position accordingly

I assume you scalp because your TP is 100-300 points.
Scalp I am not too sure but now what I am doing is,

I want to risk usd20 for every entry I make.
When I do analysis I can go for TP 90 pips, looking at the chart my SL should be set at 40 pips.
Then I calculate how many lot I can open with 40 pips SL, usd20 risk. it is about 0.05.
This is how I do

Didn't mention. I guess I could calculate it but I'm too lazy lol.

Top 20 funds averaging about 35%.
Bottom 20 funds averaging about -15%

This year you made anything more than 28% you're considered in top 20 fund manager.
If you lose more than 7%, you're in the bottom 20.

Foreign income, no need pay tax. Malaysia earning only need pay tax. What you bring back from outside is your savings that grow due to forex games. Put it that way.

Just keep all your trading track records to prove the income source (from brokerage).
The gains from FX considered capital in nature, hence not taxable.

If you are planning to use that amount of money for purchasing of assets etc,
better plan to declare now. LHDN can claw back up to 7 years, be prepared.

Last day for 2019... wishing you all Happy New Year and Happy trading.

Overall... 2019 was a super challenging year... beginning of the year was easy profits. End on the year was super tough.

Anyway... EA still runs fine.

Anyone here is using market.com or IG as their broker? How is your experience for deposit and withdrawal using a credit card or bank transfer with them from Malaysia?

Considering for opening an account with them.

It depends on your goal

- If you want "live practice" $100 would be sufficient, don't burn cash when you aren't profitable yet
- If you want to make $500 per month, evaluate your trading system first, how much does your
trading system generates? If your system can make 100% consistently a year, you'll need $6,000 capital.
If it's 20% consistently per year, you'll need $30,000.

Find your GOAL first, then depending on what your goal is, form a system that are able to achieve those goals. Most people do system hopping because they don't understand what they want, they just want quick and easy and just to earn money, You want a stable 20% return a year system? or you want a system that can give you 20% every month.

Form a system that fit your goals, back-test and get 5 years of data to make sure it's profitable
only then you determine your deposit amount.

Good insight.

I first came across your profile in Forex Factory long long time ago before you became a commercial member. If I am not mistaken, you trade mostly gold.

Anyway, what caught my attention here is not your post but the web design of your website. It's really nice. Where did you get it done if you don't mind me asking.

PAMM is just a method for fund managers to manage funds in a pool.

Whether it's a scam depends on

1. The broker - Check whether the broker that provides PAMM is regulated and safe
2. The trade aka fund manager - What's the performance and Draw down? Check
the length of fund management, if less than one year it has higher risk, if use martingale
it has higher risks, if draw down more than 30+% it has higher risks.

It's not normal at all lol, normally we submit personal IDs/Driving license during
Registration Only. Withdrawal of funds should be freely up to you.

Read through the terms and conditions and make sure is there any lock-in period/funny statements.

Good opportunity to go long on EurChf. Very nice MACD convergence in both the H4 as well as the weekly chart and we are approaching a strong demand zone. Imo, might be good idea to scale-in long positions with each dip..!! GL and Happy Trading...!! smile.gif)

Hey guys. Got a question.

Does anyone here uses OANDA? I'm thinking of switching my broker to more regulated ones (using XM now).

But I want to know how OANDA works.

i) withdrawal/depo - applicable for online bank transfer or Neteller?

ii) what about their charges for withdrawal (using Neteller)?

iii) Does their swaps high for swing trading (overnight hold)?

If anyone have any experienced using this broker, I'd like to know your experience.

*
Oanda is good, but I never use before. I would recommend you Pepperstone.

I hv seen such questions many times...

Withdraw 100k every month... Bank kacau anot?

If i use the money to buy car/house.... LHDN will kacau anot?

Deposit using bank counter... Will they ask me question?

Earn money from forex.... Need to declare income to LHDN anot?

Forex income is taxable meh?

Bla... Bla... Bla...

If you have so many worries... Don't do it... Trade something else.

There is always some risk when you do forex in msia. See you can accept anot.

Yes and No. It depends on whether you want to declare that amount or not and whether
related parties want to investigate further or not.

If you plan to use the money to buy car/house, then you'll need to declare.

Just make sure you keep a backup of your statements (some brokers provide reports,
else just export from mt4, account history > right click > save as report)

Here's a tip, I trade spot gold only. smile.gif There are also many other "methods"
that are safe, but require more upfront work. If you want to know more feel free to pm me smile.gif

Well... I hvnt show my best yet... and all my entry in my video are just approximately entry, not a precise entry.

Can you show me how to last longer?

For your information, different broker will provide different value of lot size in indices. In IC Market, 4 lot will be equally as 0.4 lots in currency.

just had time to view your yt... i'm surprised you change from M5 to scalp M15...also entry at pre US open...which usually super volatile at open...

i also surprise your naked scalping didn't enter at (see below) "1" or "2" there at M5...this would have given you an excellent ~3R to 5R...instead your m15 only give you ~0.8R

anyways, still classic textbook entry and sl...for m15 to h1...but these imho are intraday/swing timeframe liao...

Don’t worry about spread. Most give rebate for high volume traders. Don’t join them via any IB / referral, as this IB / referral taking commissions from your trade volume. What matters is make money, lots of money. Octa XM FBS & Insta have problem with withdrawals?

I looking at this one seriously. Got a friend in aussie using this his gj spread only 0.4. whereas my octa ecn normally 1.6-2.0.Only issue is in malaysia ,deposit & withdrawal (not sure), i need to go through 3rd party payment processor which has addtional charges and defeat the purposes of having tight spread at the first place.

It matters if you're trading 10-20 standard lots, while your friend already made a few hundred bucks, i, in the meatime just reaching my be point. no problem withdrawal with them, it just most pro trader i know around the world are trading with comm baased with very tight spread.

Pepperstone withdraws for Malaysian has been changed. Last time, Pepperstone ONLY have International transfer which needs pay the fee for transfer fund back to Malaysia bank.

Somemore regulator is under ASIC.

P/S: I'm just sharing the "GOOD" to you. Not ask you to join IB or join under mine whatsoever.

xau is not forex... wink.gif

learn risk management lah... specifically risk reward ratio vs win rate and risk amount per trade to determine lot/position size

say if your risk amount per trade 3%, you can lose 33 time straight before blowing up.

Learn

1a) Money management, 2% per trade is high enough if you think 2% is too small probably your capital is too small.

1b) Psychology, staring at your chart all days and revenge trading can't make your capital double or triple.

3) Find any technique and time-frame that suite your time.

If your question is for "copy trade" I assume you are looking for MAM or PAMM or even Etoro.
In that case before you copy any trader's trade always make sure

1) Understand what risks the trader is taking by looking at the maximum drawdown.
Make sure your risk appetite is able to handle the draw downs.

2) Don't look for systems with crazy gains, seek for stability above market returns.

3) Look for the period the system is up for, prioritize systems with more than 1 year of track record.

All the best

Should have not traded today. But conditions are too good and favorable towards pattern what I’m very very familiar with. Small fishing today. Jigging technique, throw bait - fish on and pull out.

This is normal. Trader gain some, then go bigger risk. Then blown everything. The first phase of profit is motivation to go bigger risks. End up loosing even initial capital.

last friday , the sudden SHOT UP of EU ~70 pips.....
MC again ....

from this
1. acc build up
2. acc growing nicely
3. acc MC ....

repeat 1-2-3 ----

really sick and tired .....

moving next week ....
will reset acc weekly ....
eg ....start with USD2K ....

by Thursday , reset acc back to USD2K ....... and the rest , keep in separate acc , and WIRE back ....

*why Thursday ? ===> From experience most of my MC happen at FRIDAY .

**Last friday , lost USD5.7K .......
***Acc started from USD600 .......
****Wired back USD4.6K ......
*****After MC, acc = USD1K ......now =USD1.2K .......

drew this "reaction box" last week... expected price to hit and bounce... it's a key Fibonacci extension level... so to me everything happens as expected

could be a dead-cat bounce for 1-4 days, then continue down... or short reversal...will know next week

ok lah spoon feed you a bit...lol

2% is risk amount per trade of your account size

$2000 x 2% = $40, that you are willing to lose if stoploss

this $40, together with your entry and sl price, determines your lot size

example based on account type...say $0.1 gold price per lot = $10, then your $40 = $0.4 price...
-- long at $1600.4, stoploss at $1600.0 ($0.4), you buy 1 lot
-- long at $1600.4, stoploss at $1600.2 ($0.2), you can buy 2 lots
-- long at $1600.4, stoploss at $1599.6 ($0.8), you can only buy 0.5 lot

sl need to put at sensible levels...put too close always get hit...put too far lot size becomes 0.0000001...no sl noobs wipeout 100% guaranteed

btw...good brokers will have learning pages on these...and also lot size and leverage calculators

Just GU is enough to feed me and my family. Can make profit bigger but don’t want to erase existing profit. My shop re-open every morning and close evening with any profit can make. Fishing every is fun versus hunting for whale one short margin call then die. I’m just a fisherman.

IcMarket is good. But don’t bother, majority trader did not reach profit withdrawal stage anyway.

Been away from market for a while, but started seriously couple months back, bring the best of skills that I have. I just have to be consistent, make money every traded session. By now, my base capital literally are free money. Just need to milk the market everyday. Withdrawals as frequently as needed.

Money will grow and free flow non stop.

You must try at least once to withdraw with them to fully understand their procedures required and if there is any issues for you to receive the funds in your account in Malaysia. Can withdraw to MYR account or best in USD account if base capital account with Pepperstone is USD (you retain the money in original currency)

profit can be DEMO - edit: got withdraw mean not demo.
transfer can be other source of income. ( you dont need to prove this afterward , it does not matter to us really. )

No offense just hope this group maintain it purpose.

dont need to have consecutive win at all, use martingale, account with 1:500 leverage. lets take a simple technical indicator, moving average.

user posted image

get in the market once 5min,15min, hourly, & daily has the same direction(ignore the monthly), if sell. just short, if all shows buy, just long. make sure have fixed amount of stop loss and take profit, never ever change this. eg 30pips SL, TP also 30 pips.

the shorter time frame, TP & SL level is also smaller, want to aim more pips need to look at higher timeframe chart(4h or daily), theres no way trying to make 100 pips if only look at 1min chart, so you get the idea and vice versa

with enough capital and use martingale lot size, doesnt matter if 9 out of 10 losing trade in a row, just need 1 win TP trade to profit back.

Hi Paogeh, is Forex really a zero sum game?

Based on your analysis, what are the 3 biggest factors of losing money?

Did you lose half a mill?

yes gambling, but still follow the market trend. 5min, 15min, hourly & daily point up, then buy. if point down, sell.

If you trade it as gambling thn is gambling.
If you trade it as business thn is business.

every technic comes with different perspectives, different solutions, different Risk & Reward.

Back to basic, every trading comes with Buy & Sell.

I dont do demo crap and I dont do modify/edit snapshots. Utter useless, just showing that money is real.

I have over 10 years of experience, I do this fishing game part time for fun, free easy money. Already have decent life from day paying job. Entire base trade capital now are free money for me.

Bottom line just be consistent, small money daily will accumulate to huge amount.

Indicators? No, all miss leading. I know most of them right to the very equation that made them. There is reason why many pure indicator traders failed.

this 11am I said sp500 starting next move down...went 50 pts for $2500...scalp the next pullback was another $2500... if brave and counter-trend between would have netted another $2000... $7k from 1 futures contract for half a day 's work...easy $ scalping... sadly I on the road no trades.... cry.gif

Which part you want to know? Trading secret?

That's depend whether you want to share here, atleast some buy or sell call will do, even though without SL or TP target, it still better than posting how much you have in bank.

I hope so... need to cope for future market changes sweat.gif

Before i rely too much on pattern & indicator..

Now i identify the trend first and use indicators to find entry

A good entry is important

thanks

yup... I find trending setup "easier" vs top/bottom reversal... I do spot or anticipate them too but don't usually trade them...consolidation and breakout patterns are easy to spot too... anyways pick the ones that makes money... no need to try master all... biggrin.gif

btw...you scalp, intraday or swing 1-2 weeks?

Now im focusing on gold..

Im trying to discipline myself to 1 trade per day... max maybe 3

I set max SL 700 points (70 pips for some broker)

and TP min. 400 points ... if i see opportunity i will drag to 2000-3000

High chance reversals. Peak buyers will be in deep trouble.

Totally new to EA, still figuring how it works, so asking for a decent one rather than simply pick one and try.

I’m not qualified to advise on this. High risk but you can try free or paid ones from mql5.com

It's OK. May be I will grab a free one from mql5 and do backtest then try to understand from there. Thanks anyway.

Back test does not reflect actual live traded accounts at all and some give non unique reaction when run on different account from different brokers. Dont decide dumping huge money based on single successful short term trials only.
