Japan model a.k.a JDM was never meant to be sold to customers outside of Japan. Seiko Japan no longer offers Worldwide warranties for Seiko wristwatches shipped from Japan.  These come with Japan domestic warranties.

Any sifus can confirm on this? Seiyajapan stated that need to send back to them in order to claim warranty and the warranty is only valid for 1 year from the purchase date.

Say after warranty period, does servicing will be issue for Japan made model here in Malaysia?

I can't decide between SPB045J1 and SPB047J1, I like how thin the hour and minute hands are and they are in my fav shade of blue so I like them but I also want something minimalistic and shows the date in an easy to read format.

also i can't justify the price tag for SPB047J1 since it's so minimalistic that I feel ike it's not worth the price lol. are they even good buys? i rarely see anyone talk about these 2 pieces or the presage line anyway

Would you recommend buying from site like shopee or lazada? I'm concerned about the authenticity

Been eyeing this:

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/seiko-pr...ee_1185137548.1

I still prefer to buy at physical store if the price is significant enough for me. But at least if I check that store, it offers 1 year international manufacturer warranty (which should mean official Seiko warranty, ideally). If you end up buying from that store, I think you can directly go to a Seiko official outlet to check its authenticity. hmm.gif

Just found out yesterday that Seiko will release its 140th anniversary starting this month!
The website says that Prospex, Astron, and Seiko 5 lines for the 140th anniversary are available in May, but the Presage version (Sharp Edged GMT!) will be available in July
What do you think fellas? Now I kinda want to save up some money for the Sharp Edged GMT line for this 140th anniversary release drool.gif

Is there any recommendations for legit watchmaker to service 7s26 and change the seal for original monster and skx013

If so how much does it cost since full service.

Ah thanks man thumbsup.gif My past experience with them is their CS over the phone and over the counter is not the friendliest of all. But will mellow down if nicely spoken too as in they still do whatever I asked them to do after the initial hoo-hah.

Very china-man company approach but thankfully their workmanship for my quartz watch is still okay (need to visit them to fix my perpetual calander date if got the chance as pain to change using crown). Also, can see they some cool stuff inside the workshop for sure.

Not sure if they have parts (replacement gasket) for Seiko Tuna sbb013 or have to wait parts since its a Japan only model (battery change should be coming soon)

Anyone bought the new Seiko 5 field watch? This looks quite nice. But don't like the size.. 39.5mm .. prefer at least 40mm or 42mm..

How about Seiko Monster. Realised some of the limited edition is being sold at an absurd value.
