before covid it was like a 3 months wait to receive my watch back (staying in penang). with the current situation, you might be looking at the same time frame if you're located in KL, havent had seiko since my last presage disappointed me as well

Man sorry to hear that, which presage you sent in and what about it that dissapointed you?

i didnt send in the presage, i had a prospex samurai padi which was actually nice for its price. i dont know what happened, but it probably got magnetized one day cause it was gaining few minutes a day so i sent it for RMA and it took 3 month to receive back.

funnily enough, it was doing -20s per day when i bought it and after RMA, it went to +4seconds per day which was actually better

my disappointment in the presage was the SARW041 that i bought. was gaining 20+ seconds per day, had misaligned hour hands which you can notice if you set the time to 6pm. it's a beautiful watch and still one of the best dials i've had, but other QC issues just made me disappointed by seiko in general.

it's not uncommon to hear seiko even in the presage line having misaligning issues and when you consider the amount you're paying for, it's really sad to see you're getting such QC. these days seiko's watches are even ramping up in price while features are being reduced so the part of them that appeals to many is also slowly fading away.

thats horrible man, the samurai you might be right on the getting magnetised part..but the presage sayang bro..so basically if we get a seiko watch with no QC issues consider lucky already lol..man i dodged many bullets at this point...this 1 first seiko with blatant QC issues...oh well, this might be my last seiko too if i can help it bangwall.gif

Guys anyone grab the 140th anniversary SPB207J1? I cancelled my order for SPB103J1 after looking at the SPB207J1. I'm new to Seiko, can advise if the limited editions are worth it?

If you like how it looks, buy it.
If you think LE will appreciate, it wont.
If you think ppl will be awed by your LE, they wont.
Is it worth it? You have to research similarly priced watches of other brands to compare movements
But if you super like the looks, that alone might make it worth it
Top up a little and buy used Grand Seiko. Or Orient. Or Bulova. Or so many other choice.

LE is a marketing gimmick to sell at a higher price point hence making it special and hard to grab...
If I were you, you see which you like... no matter LE or not and if you really likes it, buy it...
Buy what you likes and not what other people thinks that it is LE, Special Editions or etc...

I've made my decision and pulled the trigger on the LE spb207J1. biggrin.gif Not because of LE but more on the second hand design and bezel material.

It would be great if it does...
