They done pulling the fiber to the manhole beside my house, just haven't connected it to the pole

Usually the cable inside the manhole connects to the nearest roadside cabinet. From there, either the cable will run underground to the nearest pole coming out from it and extended aerially.

From the picture you provided, notice the shorter pipe next to the longer one? It has a opening, for the cable to reenter underground.

Either that or another cable from the cabinet will come out through it and the technician will connect both ends with a junction box which is cone shape.The extra cable will be coiled and tied up on the pole.

Anyone experienced Netis WiFi Router (orange color) 2.4G issue, my 2.4G WiFi coverage cannot go further than 5G WiFi Coverage, the technician has updated the latest firmware and remind the same issue,

Change the channel.. Try check using wifi analyzer which free channel

Tried changed channel, Channel bandwidth to 20Mhz or 40Mhz but no luck, any other possibility???
I am also asking Unifi to supply me the different model no or different box to address the issue,
It is only working good nearby devices connection....

Nothing you can do with 2.4GHz. It's crap. Even more so with the Netis router
Just get yourself your own router. Nothing provided for free by TM/Maxis/Time is ever good

my friend has an Unifi with 300mbps and he is going outstation for months due to working.


will it work if i borrow his modem and connect to my unifi?
if yes, will i get 300 mbps or still remain the same for my current Unifi speed which is 100 mbps?

No way to get 300mbps,unless u tarik the entire wiring to yr house

Your friend's Unifi account is 300mbps while yours unifi account is 100mbps. Am I correct?

If you say modem, then that is white color ONT modem.. (Normally supply by Huawei)

You will need his modem, as well as his PPPoE username and password. Theoretically, it might work.

i can borrow both the white color ONT modem (maybe it's not called modem ,sorrry my bad) and the huawei router.
Meaning to say, i can borrow both devices.


since i borrow both devices... all his setting including user name and password remain unchanged (save in the devices).

haha.. i am just checking if this will work. Since his house is not really near me, i am thinking if i can get the answer without doing the actual trial. thank you.

For white color ONT modem, I think you can try as first since whether yours can support or not.
For my experienced, last time I bring my router (without this ONT modem).. No matter my friend is 100mbps.. But my address still only achieve with 10mbps only even use my friend username and password... So predict nid together with ONT modem. (Previously my one is 10mbps while my friend is 100mbps)

BUT another scenario based on TM technical say lah~ (I'm not so sure coz haven't try before).. They say if you bring your friez ONT modem and router to your places.. Your ONT modem might not run properly. Reason is the ONT modem inside setting has set the TM pole (I guess it's white box one) something like mac address or serial number to determine your ID and password. That was the 2 years ago lah..

But of course if there is any issued of internet connections (maybe not stable) during secretly using your friez device, u don't pandai pandai call cs and request to reset port ya...
(Else, TM cs will feel suspicious about yours.. hahaha..) Because they can see everything your current device router and ONT modem using...

I'm planning to subscribe 30Mbps. I will receive the same router with anyone who applying 100/300Mbps?

According by the installer, it is based on the stock availability, I have just subscribed 30mb this week, they have installed the Netis DL4xxx (orange color) router, it is sucks and crap completely, the 2.4G is worst than 5G WiFi, you don't want what reliable router they will install because they said based on the stock availability
