QUOTE(flexyx @ Jun 12 2020, 11:27 AM) I'm planning to subscribe 30Mbps. I will receive the same router with anyone who applying 100/300Mbps? According by the installer, it is based on the stock availability, I have just subscribed 30mb this week, they have installed the Netis DL4xxx (orange color) router, it is sucks and crap completely, the 2.4G is worst than 5G WiFi, you don't want what reliable router they will install because they said based on the stock availability |

QUOTE(cressalve @ Jun 14 2020, 05:59 PM) Hi, did anyone have problem with their Netis router? I believe it was Netis DL4480V, the white/orange router. I've had problem connecting to the net since using this router. All my game consoles ie. PS4, Switch, some mobile phones and even with LAN connected PCs have this problem. But it happened inconsistently, sometimes it's fine, sometimes not. Is my only solution is to buy a new router? Is it the orange color Netis router? i have face the same issue, the technician kept say no problem,My other friend received this white color (az tech router), no issue at all This post has been edited by waisang: Jun 14 2020, 07:38 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(HippyTony @ Jun 15 2020, 10:30 AM) Hi everyone, I’m thinking of getting Unifi for my place. I have been reading the comments here about lagging with Unifi speed. As I’m on a budget, what is the minimum speed I should get for movies / music / surfing the net? Only 2 of us at home. TQ Watch 4k 30mb speed, no issue. The lagging is quick subjective by the router issue and setup, congested etc related etc. |

QUOTE(cedriccheah @ Jun 16 2020, 04:46 PM) Guys, I am moving into a new house soon. Both are quick about the same, the most important you are need to have to a reliable Wifi Router... the stock router may not give you an expectation... Here I having problem to choose between Unifi & Maxis. My target is between 100-300Mbps plan as my family members quite heavy usage. Unifi 100Mbps - RM129 Maxis 300Mbps - RM149 Unifi 300Mbps - RM199 I am both Unifi and Maxis home fibre user before this. Maxis is tapping on Unifi so the backbone performance will be similar, the different are the Router and Technical supports. The router I will be using own Asus router, so the different now is only Technical supports if having issue especially related to ports and other root cause not related to Maxis whereby they need to wait for TM to action. If you, which one you will choose? Worth to gamble on Maxis? Haha... Secondly Maxis bundle or addon unlimited call if your family needs it Although Maxis is using TM infrastructure, if the Maxis line goes down, they can still offer you an usb dongle for internet backup. I currently switched back from Maxis to Unifi because of the free tv. |

QUOTE(cedriccheah @ Jun 16 2020, 06:16 PM) Wifi router I will use my own so much better than the stock 1. Zero downtimeWhen you switching from Maxis to Unifi for that TV promo, u don't have downtime during the transfer request period? Coz is a new area, so not sure how good the performance. And yeah..RM149 for 300Mbps is tempting..haha |

QUOTE(cedriccheah @ Jun 16 2020, 06:58 PM) Where is your area bro? My few clients went to maxis center, they not allowed them to do the transfer request without the maxis equipments. Means they will have downtime USJ, the transfer request will be done by Unifi if you are transfer to Unifi, same goes by the Maxis from Unifi, and follow up by the provider plan that you are interested to purchase. After that, the respective technician will go to your premises to do the installation, you can cancel/terminate the old account after new one is installed. I have switched from Unifi to Maxis, and Maxis to Unifi, both same practiced. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jun 16 2020, 07:30 PM) ONU doesn't usually need to be replace . Usually only the power adapter will spoil. And the ONU belongs to TM regardless you use Maxis or Unifi. You still need to keep the ONU and return it should you decide to terminate one day, or pay the penalty charge. Order request can be very quickly depending how fast the team doing it, transfer request is a part of the process, of course you will receive the transfer request number by email nowadays. How long is the transfer process? I was told just go to the respective center to register, and provide the transfer ID to the current ISP. Anything else? I didn't even go the Unifi to maxis or maxis to unifi for switch broadband provider, same goes to my friends too. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jun 16 2020, 09:18 PM) Great. So you just register online and it will automatically do the transfer request? I didn't do the request transfer by myself, i applied thru agent, she has completed everything for me.Nowadays even TM's ONU cannot be access by users. There's a topic in this forum talking about this. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Jun 16 2020, 10:37 PM) I tried mine a few time using the instruction in one of the topic here also cannot access. Huawei HG8240 Make sure you follow up the transfer request id number accordingly, somehow Unifi has had made error to skip the process and straight proceed the user creation, maxis may face difficulty to align with Unifi process. That explains. I will try self registration and see how is the process. As at Maxis side, they will ask you whether you want transfer or terminate, this is to avoid the confusion... |

QUOTE(winter-X @ Jun 18 2020, 10:54 AM) Hi all, I am currently using 300mbps package. Paying RM139 per month exclude SST. Change to Maxis....I remember I signed up this package few years ago and enjoying the 24 months discount of RM70 until recently, they said the promo discount will not be available until October 2020. I realize the current package for 300mbps is RM199 per month. Is there any way I can appeal for the promo discount extension? Thank you. This post has been edited by waisang: Jun 18 2020, 11:44 AM |

QUOTE(ieatchickens @ Jun 18 2020, 05:56 PM) Just transferred to Unifi today, and given Aztech 2 in 1 router. Crap WiFi Router, use 5G more stable, however it is compatibility issue.... some phone may experience this error.dns/port forward and everything is fine on my wired desktop. But I just now realized my phones can't connect to the internet. It accepts the wifi password but theres just no internet on the phone. Any ideas ? Edit : the aztech uses the same config/fw as the older Netis router |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 22 2020, 10:59 AM) That kind of budget better stay with stock router lah The ASUS RT-AX56U is a good router, WiFi 6 and Mesh readyRM200 won't get you anything good Be patience & save RM100 each month so you can get a decent router. Something like ASUS RT-AX56U In the meantime just be patience with your current router. Don't rush to buy a router This post has been edited by waisang: Jun 22 2020, 11:52 AM |
