D ring is most secure n fail proof? design, but mafan abit la, c which one u prefer oni.
hjc normally tight for round, u need to go try.
the vents, just the lobang outside is not enuff,
inside the foam needs to have channels, and exit/ekzos holes at the back, + padding design also counts.
mostly expensive models have these.

Yes, D-ring best for safety, my ARAI also using d-ring. My AGV using quick release buckle.

yes. D ring is most secure and safe.

as for fitting, the best is to test it out. No point go online to ask for opinion.
need to wear it and food.

as for vents, just go for branded helmets. functionality is tested in R&D.

HJC CS15 (RM450++) - seems like more suitable for round head?
KYT TT Course (RM450++) - apparently more spectacles friendly, unsure about the head shape. All they mention is just 'Asian Fit'

If you can wait for HJC trade in campaign.

DD-ring is uber safe, but if you have a lot of stops that need remove helmet, it's painful to use. With gloves and forgot to strap, you'll have to stop and do it. Micro-ratchet is fine.

For ventilation, the inlet outlet usually works to pull air passing above the liner, but the liner itself is prohibiting ventilation. In some cases, holes from the vent, through the shell, and liner, do not align properly. Inspect your helmet and see how to improve it.

Actually, coming to helmets, I have a weird issue.

at speeds of 140 and above, I get an itchy nose. I think its the turbulance/vibration that is causing it). Annoying but not much I can do with it.

Wasn't a problem until i removed my wind deflector to get more air to the helmet.
so the solution is 1) ride slower than 140, 2) install back the wind deflector (and deal with heat) 3) change new helmet 4) change new windscreen. 5) change new bike. LOL.

Possibly the air inlet from the mouth curtain. Can try this:

I like DD too. Oops wait, wrong DD.

Micro-ratchet really convenient. I think if I am just going nearby at low speeds.. will make do with that.

If DD, usually comes with hardened steel loops that doesn't rust, occasionally with a pull tab for easier release.
For micro-ratchet, quality varies a lot. So, inspect with care. Some brands are famous for rusting. My AGV (Made in China) so far ok.

what kind of balaclava you got? mine covers the nose but hate it, so usually pull down to just cover my mouth.

I wear glasses n I just use a buff instead of a balaclava...i tend to lick my lips alot so balaclava x best coz itll get wet hahahah

DD ring may be the safest out there but that doesnt make the micrometric strap unsafe...its still a pretty good system...alot of ppl tend to treat non DD like its a disease simply coz DD is rated as safest. If micrometric unsafe doubt itll pass ece testing.

Anyway..there is a way to convert DD to clip style easily...

https://shopee.com.my/product/1898292/18510...69-1666923904.9

Claims to surpass snell standards...i ordered one from ebay couple of years back but i cancelled it coz accidentally ordered wrong color n never got around to re ordering...now got this on shoppee i think im gonna reorder after i get my helmet liner reupholstered.

Any local reviews of Bell Qualifier Helmet?
Seems to be quite a popular entry model helmet overseas.

Bell Qualifier (RM500+)
Bell Qualifier DLX (RM750+)
Bell Qualifier DLX mips (RM1400+)
*
Qualifier doesn't have chin cover. Only DLX and above has it.

One of the con I've read everywhere about Qualifier is it is noisy as hell, and Qualifier's SHARP rating was just 3*.

However, it's definitely one of the considerations for entry lvl helmet. As for the DLX model, I rather get C70 at that price point.

pretty high quality for the price.
look like it has better quality than their previous open face helmets.

but inner padding is light colored grey.
