But you can always use the slower "wire transfer" method biggrin.gif

FPX only if you want to transfer instantly, but why need to? Wahed is not like crypto that requires fast deposit/ withdrawal to "capture the moment".

Will try the "wire transfer" method next round to see how long it takes.

opportunity cost. if the money is sitting is my high yield savings account it's still generating money.

hmm.gif how much "should" the deposited amount be to have feel able impact (of lets say RM5) for the delay caused by the slower wire transfer? (against the time if the money is sitting is my high yield savings account)

money is money regardless of amount. 1 cent is still money. for example, if stashaway can do it in 3 days why should i park my money in wahed which needs 5 days? unless wahed can guarantee higher returns for this extra 2 days of delay.

Well, whatever that suits your investment strategy and you are comfortable with it.

To me, to sell off everything (and hence losing all the DCA accumulated ever since HLAL was added to Wahed) and then dumping everything into another platform to buy assets at near ATH prices - kinda not right to me.

if not impactful...just go for the one the is "easy" and simple....that is my motto.
if really want to be "that" calculative...then drink just 1 less Bubble tea...will save many many years of this type of opportunity cost expenses thinking

Agreed unless Wahed can give 2 day so interest then it’s will be a game changer

Otherwise better off buying into the one with fastest settlement because the 2 days can impact buy and sell price which a lot if ppl need don’t understand coupled FX loss or gain upon settlement for overseas equities particularly

I also don't know got such thing, but normally they will hide in T&C, so they already get your consent when you sign up the account.

It is under Zakat but Wahed won’t disclose the donation from their depositors

From their email, they are doing this to maintain their Shariah-compliance status. I am glad that they are being transparent about this.

No, this is dividend purification, not zakat. You have to pay zakat on your own. Wahed will only help you to calculate.

What does it means by recurring deposit fee?
Is it cheaper to do monthly deposit than weekly deposit?

Starting Mei (if im not mistaken), fpx payment will charge rm1/transaction. So, doing monthly recurring is cheaper than weekly (rm1 vs rm4).

As alternative, you can use wire transfer if you want to avoid transaction fees. Wire transfer is similar to online transfer. You inform wahed how much to deposit, later wahed will email you their account details. Took only 2-3 working days to complete.
