QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jan 8 2021, 08:35 AM) Scheduled downtime for exciting new features! Due to their system update, my deposit on 04/01/2021 until today still not yet invest into ETF ?Hello everyone, We have some amazing news to share with you in the next few days about major new features in our app. To do that smoothly, we'll need to schedule some downtime on: Saturday, 9th of January, 2021. Scheduled timeline: 11:30am - 9:00pm (Kuala Lumpur). During this time, you will not be able to login to the Wahed app. However, rest assured that your investments will not be impacted in any way. Our engineers will be doing this update on a weekend, when the markets are closed. Our support team will still be available to answer your questions. You can also visit our website or FAQs if you're looking for more information. Thank you for choosing Wahed. Regards, The Product and Engineering Teams |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jan 14 2021, 06:17 PM) Your Zakat Calculations for the year 2020 Is this mean Wahed will take certain amount from our investment portfolio to contribute zakat?Zakat acts as a social safety net for those in need and a means to uplift the entire community. For Muslims, Zakat is done ultimately to increase faith and devotion to God. Here’s our calculation of your zakat amount based on your investment with Wahed My lowest portfolio value*: RM 0 Portfolio Value less of Wahed Fees: RM 0 2.5% of Portfolio value: RM 0 Amount of zakat to be paid**: RM 0 Our Zakat Calculation Methodology* We consider you to be eligible to pay zakat if : You have an active account for a full-calendar year period (from 1st January 2020 to 31st December 2020), thus completing a full haul. Your lowest portfolio value in any given month exceeds RM X.XX, the published nisab amount for 2020. **You are receiving this email because your investments with Wahed have fulfilled the minimum period (haul). The zakat amount calculated here is only applicable to your Wahed investment and does not take into consideration other assets you are holding. Why is my Zakat amount payable RM 0? It could be that you have made a full withdrawal during the year. As such your assets with Wahed didn’t fulfil the full Haul period for it to be eligible for Zakat. Another reason is because based on our Zakat Calculation Methodology, your lowest portfolio value does not exceed the nisab for the year. What if my family member or friend who uses Wahed didn’t get this Zakat calculation email? This email is only sent to Wahed Invest Malaysia clients who have funded their accounts for the full Haul period (one calendar year). Those who have not invested with Wahed for the full year, will not need to pay Zakat on their Wahed portfolio holdings and hence they did not receive this email. I do not qualify to pay zakat as I am not a muslim. You may ignore the content of this email. However, in the spirit of helping others in need, we are also sharing an Index of available NGOs (provided by HATI) that you may be inclined to support their causes. |

QUOTE(GrumpyNooby @ Jan 14 2021, 06:38 PM) Yes but since I'm not a Muslim, I don't know how they deal it. I also not a Muslim and not yet invest full calender month, so I didn't received this email. And I cannot remember if I did tell my race/religion during account registration. Next time maybe Bursa also do this. |

QUOTE(infernape772 @ Feb 26 2021, 12:12 PM) Having their own ETF is great and all, but when Wahed's most aggressive portfolio still as Sukuk and local funds, which I believe is a contributing factor as well. SA has "bullets" to explore different types and brands of ETFs, and select those that they think is good. Wahed has no choice but to be stuck with HLAL only, unless HLAL has any plans to change it's holdings and underlying assets. Sukuk & local fund almost 35% in Most aggressive portfolio (I don't like this part)For my opinion, wahed not enough diversify, HLAL up will gain a lot, HLAL down will loss a lot. After 9 month investment, finally decide to close account. This post has been edited by tsutsugami86: Feb 26 2021, 12:51 PM |

QUOTE(footie_ft @ Apr 14 2021, 12:12 PM) I was trying to calculate their fees as well but due to I was doing DCA, it was hard and confusing to do so. Anyway, my fees for last month was around RM4++ for management of around RM10k. Invest RM 10K & management fee RM 4++ , they charge so much ? I think it will eat up profit in long term, especially since it relies on only HLAL unless HLAL keep going up. |

QUOTE(footie_ft @ May 5 2021, 04:44 PM) Their charges is 0.79% per year which is around RM79 per year. Dependent on only HLAL and the fee can easily eat into the gain. just surprise you said RM 4++ management fee for RM10k investment.Only HLAL can generate profit, invest 3 funds only 1 fund working, that why i withdraw all beginning of year. |
