Guys,

Sorry. Newbie here. When I am transfering via Maybank2U to IBKR, it requires their business registration/identification number?

What should I put in there?

I'm not sure how to Transfer using Local bank, but why don't you use Wise?
It's much cheaper than using Local Bank to transfer and better Fx Rate.

My tax specialist says it is ok to combine all 3 years on one Form 60, but I think it's best you split it into 3 forms, since you never know if your tax residency will change in any certain year in the future.

LHDN's job is just to validate your tax residency. Follow the instructions of Form 60 and you should be fine. The stamp especially is important (it shows your tax residency for the particular financial year), the rest are just fine details.

Seems I have to build up the stake to make it worthwhile to run the tax office errand... otherwise not sufficient drive to do it.

biggrin.gif Take your time. If you are young like me, you have 40+ years of compounding interest. Plenty of time to grow your money.

Dunno about you all but ain't paying USD 2 for each conversion expensive despite they give good rates? Also by default IBKR not giving live data it is delayed if want need to pay. So despite paying 35 cents there are actually trade off. For IBKR spore still need pay GST. To be fair there are still pro.

1. USD 2 look expensive when you change small amount so best change big amount. But change already monies stuck as USD waiting to be deployed
2. Long term investing no need live data just buy once market open
3. GST is Spore specific so cannot complain

This is not a IBKR bashing post just recently I also open and compared to Syfe so making comment. And IBKR UI is legendary in current year 2022

Why not let Mark Liu have a "long stay" in the US? What can TSMC learn from Sony's co-founder past history when a rising corporate Japan challenged America's supremacy?

Here's a short account of the battle between TSMC and Intel, from CommonWealth magazine (天下杂志) (Issue date: 20th April-3rd of May)

Hello, the answer is yes and no.

If you refer to the onshore Taiwan listed (TWSE) stocks then no, IBKR only offers securities services for exchanges listed in here: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=1562

The answer is yes if you broaded the scope to ADRs. A few Taiwanese companies like TSMC and UMC have ADRs listed on NYSE, and you can therefore purchase a stake in the company via the ADRs.

The same thing with Korean stock, e.g. Samsung's GDR in LSE.
