Production quality seemed very high for a Malaysian story. Great cinematography, not much of overused cringe worthy jokes (like typical local horror-comedy movies like to do)
Story wise is quite good, but it was outside my expectation of being a very scary story.

it's more like crime solving + "Along with the gods" vibe, which is quite refreshing
If you don't mind harsh language, this fella is pretty good and came across like a "China man" Bill Burr. His angry tone compliment his rather sophisticated jokes.
He's a Malaysian doing stand-up comedy in Australia and now migrated to US. He rose to fame by being a correspondent in The Daily Show with his angry brand of humour. He is on the verge of becoming somebody big. His joke on teaching his mom to use computer is amazing.
Lost in space is pretty okay but in order to create suspense, the writers and director put no logic in it for ppl with high IQ and drive a spaceship to unknown space.
Example: working on the sea and space without safety rope
No security plans to handle rogue ppl
Always something bad happen in each episode to the main cast
Star trek: Discovery and another life are better

Well, it's a rated 7+ show that's targeting young audience, can't expect too much can't make to story too complicated or too "adult realistic" else the kids will lose interest
another great space sci-fi series was The Expanse, S1 & S2 was briefing shown on Netflix, until Amazon bought over the rest of the seasons right

I see...
Frustrating to watch... But has to ease the sci fi itch
What a movie. Adam Sandler nailed his role. It was a thrilling ride from start to finish IMO. I was absolutely rooting for his character Howard. The last part of the movie

...in just an instant, shot in the head. And his uncle... the same was ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!
and that was THE most memorable part of the movie (and so it should be). That basketball sequence at the end was edge-of-your-seat experience. I'm not sure how others felt about this, but Adam Sandler should have been nominated for at least a Golden Globe. There were some genuine unexpected comedy moments like The Weeknd (lol at him asking for a blacklight at the club and getting into a fight) and the whole Kevin Garnett and his obsession with the stone I just found that oddly funny.
Locke & Key dropping tomorrow. If you like the show, do seek out the comic books. It's one of the best horror with Stand By Me hooks. People will compare this to Stranger Things to a degree but it's creation came much more earlier.
