Hi. Is 30mbps speed from maxis good enough to watch 4K HDR on Netflix? So far, only found 1 comment in FB...

Would like to share. Using maxis fibre 30mbps can watch 4k with Dolby vision just fine. I'm only using WiFi to connect to the TV and then need a minute or 2 for the video to stream in 4k
Average bandwidth to stream 4k is around 15mbps+. TV can play HDR / Dolby vision videos even in lower resolution like HD, 720p |

Genre: sci-fi
Visual: 4K and Dolby vision Lost in space is pretty okay but in order to create suspense, the writers and director put no logic in it for ppl with high IQ and drive a spaceship to unknown space. Example: working on the sea and space without safety rope No security plans to handle rogue ppl Always something bad happen in each episode to the main cast Star trek: Discovery and another life are better This post has been edited by sonicbull: Feb 5 2020, 02:56 PM |

QUOTE(iGamer @ Jan 28 2020, 03:36 PM) Hi, noob here. For me it's worth it for 4k even though most shows in HD only.Is 4k available for most Netflix content? Is it really best quality or compressed quality that we may see artifacts in really large tv like 70"? New tv shows , Netflix will most likely release in 4k and/or Dolby vision, best format for HDR. Yes, as average consumer, most won't notice the difference watching full HD and 4K Dolby vision without putting the image side by side. Deep down, watching 4K with Dolby Vision, I know I'm watching the best format available at home |

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Feb 5 2020, 03:32 PM) Well, it's a rated 7+ show that's targeting young audience, can't expect too much I see...can't make to story too complicated or too "adult realistic" else the kids will lose interest another great space sci-fi series was The Expanse, S1 & S2 was briefing shown on Netflix, until Amazon bought over the rest of the seasons right Frustrating to watch... But has to ease the sci fi itch |

QUOTE(Khuan0813 @ Feb 11 2020, 09:26 AM) Is there any latest Korean dramas in Netflix? Got English/Chinese subtitle or not? The drama is 720p or 1080p if I watch by using a smartphone? Itaewon class is goodQUOTE(greyshadow @ Feb 19 2020, 11:16 AM) October Faction I watched only one epThis is another good example of albeit having a good source material (great comic), but the execution falls flat, face down in a pile of shits Production value was pretty low for Netflix standard, some CGI was horribly done, and feels very cheap, story was everywhere, plot execution is pretty bad. Seriously, don't waste your time on this crappy series. I only go look for the comic after finishing it, the comic is waaaaaay better than this crap QUOTE(ongonglai89 @ Feb 20 2020, 01:48 PM) Into 2nd ep |

Reminded me of early 2000's "original" psychology horror that has an interesting premise that keep sucking you into the rabbit hole. Give it a shot. Not badQUOTE(asamalikum @ Mar 31 2020, 01:15 PM) Straight to the point movie |

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Mar 31 2020, 06:41 PM) Straight to the point eh? Well, if you watch it as it is then sure. Humans are selfish. I forgot the name of a Japanese manga / tv adaptation. It's really suspenseful and explore human behaviors under stressFor me, the number of allegories and metaphors to modern day 'government/politics' is amazing... Hard to explain without spoilers but you can think of it as "Higher levels -> More greed -> The lower levels -> Less they get" akin to how the world today works; the rich becoming richer while the poor becoming poorer. I can go on and on, perhaps another time. |
