that thing actually go for klipsch. but sadly no longer in market. forget it.

then i'd say, from my view Z5500 suit you better than S550. thing is, i never listen S550 also, maybe it has decent bass. but for S730, the bass is not that surprising, indicating something special like the klipsch.

dont know, its my opinion, cause i like techno also, but i want quality bass, not just boom.

the quality depends on your liking. u DID NOT give enough explanation.
please, elaborate more, like i give u the example. 1 is not enough.

guy A likes sweet milk, he says milk quality depends on sweetness
guy B likes fresh milk, he says milk quality depends on freshness.

of course, everybody knows different quality different to people.
for me, quality bass is as a mentioned, on low volume but can let me feel the pulse of the bass.

please, EXPLAIN, what u like on your music in detail, as detail as possible.
alot of us here trying to help u in detail, if you dont give details, might as well i answer u shortly also, save my time.

Haha I can't help you this, I'm not a m3500 or r501 user.

But the link below might help you out  smile.gif
R501

But if you do have extra budget for r501, why don't you just go for it? There must be some differences if the price is different, provided they both are products from Edifier, but you need to audit lah, to see which suits you the best.

thanks! i will further audit rite there.... notworthy.gif

Product support should be in consideration if you choose Audiotrak product and if you use windows Vista or Windows 7. The lastest driver update for Maya EX5 is from year 2005 which is not support windows vista and above. And Audiotrak has been dumped by the companY since 2007. No doubt the sound card is great but you need a proper driver to make it work.

If you've ady fixed ur mind on the Logitech Z5500, then stop confusing urself and get it ady. The Z5500 is really nice although it's a little bit pricey to me, the quality of the sound is superb, you can use it for music as well no prob, provided ur room has to be big enough to place them.
