Those Sony, Samsung brands are belong to Hi-Fi already right? So may be you should proceed to Hi-Fi section because i've absolutely no idea about Hi-Fi stuff Anyway, Hi-Fi are not cheap A decent one will easily hit few k.

Low Yat is still the best place for audition, they got almost every speakers there. may be you can audit both Logitech Z5500D and Edifier S550. To me Sony and Samsung is not really real hifi, tho they branded themselve that way. Thats why some ppl like to refer to real hifi as high end audio i think.
Z5500D never had a problem with the pod in 3 yrs.

QUOTE(chingwooi @ Mar 30 2009, 10:45 PM) I've nvr heard of audioengine but I did know little bit bout Aego M. If you like classical/jazz those type of soft musics, Aego m will be the first that you should consider, For movies like those type of action and war, Altec Lansing MX5021 would fit in, but for musics, the clarity is not gd enuf, the bass has covered everything so basically all you hear is boom boom boom, I don't really like it because I can't enjoy the musics at all, hearing it for long time also causing irritation/headache. As for Klipsch GMX 2.1. I heard that the latest version is not as gd as the previous version, cutting cost problem. Anyway, I would also want to introduce another brand of speaker which i found to be pretty gd, which is Edifier S530(D). this speaker is balance for everything, regardless of moveis/musics/gaming. You might want to look for this speaker as well as it's within ur budget. Hope it helps. Happy researching. If your budget is around 1k. You may consider Edifier S730, more info on Edifier S730 see above xD Price for the above speakers: AegoM:Rm620 Edifier S530D:~RM700 Altec Lansing MX5021:~Rm550 Klipsch GMX 2.1:~Rm450++ Edifier S730D:Rm999. i want to buy a decent 2.1 speaker..budget is around rm500-600... main purpose : movie and music I have read this review by hardwarezone.com http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view....9&id=2814&pg=10and Klipsch GMX seems to be a rather decent choice... any comments? =) This post has been edited by atleeyoung: Apr 20 2009, 08:30 PM

Yea, there's no point that you get a ass-kicking speaker yet pairing with built-in sound-card. Anyway, since you don't hv soundcard yet then you should omit Altec Lansing MX5021 and go for the Klipsch GMX 2.1 instead since it costs only around Rm400 and you can allocate the another Rm200 for a soundcard.
