Depends on which screen exactly.
The cheap 250 nits one is kinda crappy.. the 300nits one is better. But have to see review on sRGB gamut coverage etc.

guys

is Ideapad Gaming 3 OK for an entry level gaming laptop? Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15" AMD Ryzen

Looking at the AMD® Ryzen™ 7 4800H version. Supposedly comes with IPS Screen instead of TN.

but i'm not sure if the screen brightness and the cooling efficiency.

maybe owners can share your experience. thanks.

Yes it will work. I use a similar USB-C to round connector for my laptop. This connector "tricked" your USB-C power supply to output 20V for your laptop. The most important thing is to get a power supply and USB-C cable rated 65W-100W that supports PD (Power Delivery standard).

Hi, I recently got a Thinkpad T470 from a friend as a used unit (reformatted and clean installation performed before handing it to me). So, I have a 4K monitor and I think this laptop is having a HDMI 1.4b port if I'm not mistaken since I just googled to check on this.

My question is, is there any way workaround so I can select 4k@60Hz display for this laptop? Currently, the maximum display I can select is 4k@30Hz only which sounds about right considering the HDMI port is 1.4b.

few options
basic is usb-c to VGA

higher end is get a docking station, so vga and hdmi are always plugged in, and 1 usb c connects em all

Option 1:
Actually a better/cheaper option than a dock will be a MST hub.... all monitors will require DP inputs...

Option 2:
usb-c to DP.... pass through adapter: RM10-20

Option 3:
usb-c to HDMI... digital to digital converter... to HDMI1.4b: RM30

Unless very low end monitor w/o digital input .... usb-c to VGA...option 4

Option 1 example....:

2: 2560x1440@144Hz
3 & 4: (3440x1440@120Hz)x2.... all 2,3,4 divided from a single DP 1.4 (from a single usb-c port)

will this ugreen charger be compatible to charge my thinkpad T450? my current charger outputs 20V 3.25A. this ugreen charger has the same output rating too.

i do have a USB3.1 ugreen cable but it says 60W only. do u think it can charge? i'm ok with slightly slower charging time, but i don't want to create any damage.

Charger most likely will work.
Cable I am not too sure. You will have to try it out. I don't think it can cause any damage. At most, your laptop won't charge.

Anybody purchased a Lenovo laptop from their website?

I bought the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 last week (15/9) from their website and was shown the laptop would arrive by 23/9. Today (22/9), I checked the tracking number and the laptop is still in Changi, Singapore!

Called UPS and Lenovo and was given the run-around. Now they're saying it'll arrive this week. Yeah right!

Never experienced such bad customer service. Anybody else encountered this? Have always bought Dell and now regretting giving Lenovo a try.
