ill consider ur suggestion.. however the speed is so tempting.. despite the price cut..

20mb vs 8mb is quite a huge difference to me. plus the upload speed quite helpful too at most time. i dont game quite much lately due to work constraints. so the latency not much an issue to me.

im looking to stick w unifi air if they willing to asign me a public ip for my cctv. u think it is possible?

their live chat support said it is possible.. but i always got hung up cos no response from them after that. maybe they got confused w unifi air and unifi fibre. ill keep trying again next week.

if no public ip, maybe ill stick to streamyx.

Just another excuse for them not to lay fibre. Fibre solution is better in the long run. Why can't they accept that?

They don't really care it seems, as long as they can delay, they will.
As their motto isn't #khabarbaik or #satupeluang, it's more like #nocoverage
I can't even start to think this as an solution and "force" us to wait till 2021 for full fibre infrastructure?

Does Unifi Air also provides voice service with landline-like number such as 03-21814779?

If yes, then the service may be worth it.

Nah. I doubt so.
It's more of a pure Internet plan I guess?
Even if so, it's gonna be a mobile number?

They will. But that isn't a "solution" for either the TM or the consumers to not receive fibre infrastructure ASAP.
They are just great at delaying anything and everything.

In the past, TM gave PSTN number to wireless users.
Unifi Air is Fixed-Wireless, not really mobile.

46ms to only a local server is a big NO!

As comparison with fibre, you are expected to get <10ms pings on local servers. It makes a huge difference when gaming and even watching live streaming videos.

It panggil #satuass.
Kinda stupid they are claiming that they have 2 million subscriber who use unifi.
Then subscriber pay their fiber bill goes to where?
Why cannot for full infrastructure?

Oh ya, "case closed" receive feedback from them.

If you watched the live broadcast of their #khabarburuk that day on Facebook. You'll probably vomit blood during the unveiling of their "new" products.
Their CS or representatives are completely incompetent, different platform, different reply. Even if you head to the nearest branch, their low levels kakis don't even know shit. You need to summon the someone from the managerial level and then wait for them to call and confirm, even after all that, they would somehow decline your request or send you off

I never watch because it's just wasted my data quota and wasting time to see they are dancing or talking non-sense there.
Act like "Apple CEO" talking new launching technology and introduce features. But after their live broadcast, totally forget already and back to normal.

"Huh? Got meh? We are still in progress to launch this product. Please be patient to wait for another #khabarbaik announcement.."

This is the slogan or statement normally I heard like that.

Wanted to see what was up their sleeves.
But it turns out to be such a disappointment.
Wanted to rush to the nearest TMpoint to register for their Unifi Air and it turns out to be absolute crap like that.

If using Unifi Mobile I'd only get average dl speed 300kbps and only 1Mbps at certain times, with the Huawei modem will UniFi Air speed be better?

QUOTE(dark_axl21 @ Aug 10 2019, 10:20 AM)
Because I see people "renting" their Maxis SIM cards with unlimited data in the forums.

No one knows. TM have a lot of great plans and executed poorly.

This is just a stopgap solution to improve Internet connectivity for non Unifi areas.

I am not confident with their 4G network considering how spotty the coverage is right now. It will take at least 2 years with high level of commitment to even match Umobile.

What kind of modem are you even using now? What package or kind of subscription?
But the Huawei B618 is the best of it's kind, no doubt it is gonna help a bit.
