i watched 21 bridges.. watchable small story big plot.. more like a CSI case but make it dragged for a 1.5 hours movie..
only recommend if you have finished up your watch list and got nothing else to watch haha

Jojo Rabbit

I actually enjoyed every bit of it. Like Life is Beautiful (1998), it gives a light take on a serious subject of the Nazi Germany, based on the viewpoint of a little child. Except that Jojo Rabbit is probably lighter, more pleasant, and more colourful.

I viewed it with my children, with a few guidance on one strong language and a bloodless kill on a small animal, I would think that it suits anyone older than 10. My kid certainly enjoyed the film, along with voluntary discussion from them about Nazi Germany, who is Jew and its historical reason on their persecution etc..

Overall a great movie (with some guidance) for the whole family.

All Ang Lee 120fps film look weird and no sense of beauty, freaking bad cinematography.

Gemini Man is bad, same as Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk which is Ang Lee 1st 120fps film.

Either Ang Lee hired bad camera man or that 120fps camera is trash!

Needful Things (1993) (Addendum)

This movie is one of my favorite horror movie.

This horror is not the in your face horror like Freddie Kruger.

Instead horror here is expressed by how people treat people....

Yes, the devil is in this movie.

And no... all the horror in this movie, is not done by the devil per say, let me break one of my own law of not revealing any plot in my review here by stating in this movie, the devil tempts you by flaming your greed and getting you to decide what choices you make.

For a full break down/comparison between the original release and this TV Extended Cut (eg director's cut) please goto the below link

Needful Things Theatrical Version vs TBS Extended Version

I cannot tell you how happy I am to discover this "new release", because it allows me to see new scenes that I have never imagine existed, for a movie that I really like.

How is this cut compared with the original cut, the original cut flows much better and does the story telling efficiently.

The director's cut is 3 hours long and gives alot of background details for the different character, and as the name suggest, works better and a TV cut.

I finally understood the significance of the bronze bell on top of the door, in the shop Needful Things.

The original cut, seem like a remaster to me, picture wise, this movie never looked better

My only let down was the audio is DTS Master Audio, stereo only...

If you are a fan, or if you have not seen this movie before, I really recommend this movie.

This two weeks I am actually test many films in my new purchase and my 1st OLED TV - LG C9. Here I shared my short review not in technical.
I know this is not the place for share TV review but I just like to point out, if you are videophile and enthusiast on films, I suggest you go ahead for OLED or future MicroLED instead of LED backlight LCD or lower end QLED or future Mini-LED.

I very thanks to Harvey Norman promotion, if without it I probably won't have OLED TV due to it origin cost is damn expensive. Even after promotion still expensive but frank speak, I had no single regret at all.

OLED is just something freaking spectacular and wow!

After owning it, now i know why many OLED owner said LCD is suck especially on HDR, now I am believing it. The only LCD can comparable with OLED now is Samsung QLED Q90 series, yes only Q90 series, lower than it is no way match especially the entry Q60 series. But how good QLED, it still got some gray uniformity issues at the edges.

OK talk back to OLED, why it is spectacular. biggrin.gif
  • Perfect Deep Blacks.
  • 100% no color banding issue.
  • 100% no gray uniformity issues.
  • Insane viewing angle.
  • Deep & Rich color and accuracy.
  • Very low latency and this make every movement smooth and no ghosting.
  • HDR is extreme stunning now! It make me hope all movies is in HDR now, haha!
Compare with my previous Panasonic EX600 LED backlight LCD, is like compare heaven and hell. They is no way to compare, it is huge differences.

Beside this, thanks to it new HDMI 2.1 and also eARC support, now I can input total 4 devices and all can pass thru my LG SK9Y soundbar without any delay issue. This is totally solved my previous issue where only 1 device can be connected.

Also not forgetting the best ever did remote control - Magic Remote which act as normal remote + air mouse gesture. Simply awesome!

Any cons? I can't think any of it, I don't put possibility burn-in as cons as this is something every manufacturing trying the best to prevent it and I believe it simply fixed now or very hard to burn-in.

I love my OLED TV now so much especially dark scenes no longer an issue anymore and HDR quality is definitely huge jump!

Charlie's Angels (2019)

Okay...

So...

This happened...

I... am lost for words...

This did the impossible...

It makes the Charlie's Angels (2000) and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) looks like masterpieces of cinema... (They were entertaining, not masterpieces of cinema)

What was Elizabeth Banks thinking!

What was Drew Barrymore (executive producer) thinking!?!

I am now afraid for He-Man, Master of the Universe (who is actually in this... Noah Centineo, and Sony is making it).

What the heck is Sam Claflin doing in this!!?!

And Sir Patrick Steward... I really REALLY hope he at least got a lot of remuneration for this!!!!!

It only bright spot is Jonathan Tucker proves that he can managed baddie roles..

Bad script, really REALLY bad script.

This movie... is a disaster.

This is Just My Two Sen.

I am so distracted by how bad this movie is to pay attention to the picture and sound quality, and I am not brave enough to revisit to find out... So sorry...
