normally, IT systems have maintenance period between 12-1am (planned). sometimes longer depending on the activities required.

just that tonight was smoother, probably not much maintenance happening or it ended earlier.

wrong assumption.

it's up to the bank's discretion whether to work on marketing-related activities. good for them if they do.


our spending data doesnt change. their campaign T&C doesnt change (unlikely to happen since it'll end in Apr).

the only variable is their PRIORITY to ensure banking network runs, for ours and nation's sake. they still can work on the cashback after MCO ends.

boost's otp triggering is part of the security feature (not by boost, but by gateway)

it has something to do with velocity transaction checking, e.g. if the card is being used x times within y period, OTP is enforced.

this is a fraud checking mechanism.


your card has a usage profile and behavior. if it hit the threshold, certain rules will kick-in.

this is essentially like asking.... "why am i hungry today?"

there is no useful information to even understand what you're trying to say.

e.g

1) which card?
2) when it was charged?
3) what is the description (statement/PBe)?
4) have you read PBB cards's PDS (product disclosure sheet)?
5) ultimately, have you even called PBB Customer Service to find out?
