Strange! My QVC has spent more than RM600 cumulatively but it didn't prompt for PIN reset.

In between, I have a purchase on shopee. Could it be the cause? Shopping on shopee considered reset?

your last paywave transaction is OFFLINE (Approval: VLP111)?
The merchant didn't get authorisation code from PB.

Anyway to check if it was offline? The print out?

In fact the 2nd last transaction has already exceeded RM500.

Whatever is it, I better get it reset first before the next usage...

Edit: the transactions already appeared in pbe as unposted after minutes... (not sure if it was instant)

I called CS regarding the SST charged and requested for offset. She told me not required as already provided reversal. I checked online, it is true. Means the reversal came before my request. rclxms.gif

yes, check from the bank/terminal slip.

good move to reset first. else, troublesome or forgotten to do later.

from my experience, the transaction that exceeds the RM500 threshold didnt trigger the block. havent tried subsequent transaction to test the limit.

your case, 2nd last transaction already exceeded. last transaction also didnt trigger any block.

could be because PBB count it differently? or other possible reasons, e.g. your last transaction was OFFLINE, so the limit was not validated.

if you want to, try another contactless transaction (smallish amount) and see if it goes through biggrin.gif

I'll check & see if I still have the slips.

Don't bother to try since it is specifically spelled out in their terms & conditions. Better just reset it. 😊

Thanks for the reply...

The RM500 limit is /day or /month? or valid all the time....

e.g

1. I can keep on paywave RM30 30 30 30.... the transaction will go tru all the way.

2. I paywave RM100 100 100 100 105.... 5th paywave will not go tru and will be block as already exceed limit wave limit RM500.

Read the above quote.

It's cumulative. As long as your usage exceeds RM500, PIN reset is required.

No reset how? take the 2nd example and on 5th paywave. After I wave, merchant will request me to key in pin for RM105 on the 5th time and transaction still consider paywave or after paywave, payment straight fail?

I recently made three payments, first RM200+, second RM200+ and last RM100+ all paywave (shown as contactless entry in slip). So I think the last payment that exceed RM500 still count as contactless entry without pin reset... I not yet try next contactless payment but guess I will need to reset first..

It would have no effect on the cb if we can just tap & key in PIN. If this can be done, then we don't have to worry about the PIN reset at all... 😊

If read many page back, few user already reported that after hit paywave limit prompt enter pin does eligible for cash back with receipt written something like contactless and pin entered.

After hit paywave limit (RM250 per transaction or total accumulated limit RM500 or 10th time) will either prompt enter pin or reject. So to be safe, do pin reset earlier.
