Hi, is it cheaper to install terrazzo counter top as compared to quartz counter top? My ID quote me RM300/ft for quartz counter top. Is it overprice?

Design either you can DIY using the tool online at yr convenience, or book a slot to plan plan at nearest store.
Important part is you have the measurements of your kitchen.
Last time they can also do onsite, but now with pandemic I think lesser contact is safer.

The basic concept is quite easy, pick carcass frame size, add shelves/drawers, lastly pick the doors/drawer fronts and soft close stuffs for hinges/drawer rail. Basic type need handle, for handleless type it cost more but its a personal preference as I hate the handles catching on me.

Parts list autogenerated by the design tool. Save the design, order at the store without appt if u already sure thats what u need. Just go there and tell them "I want to open SO please" just login your design there, auto pull based on the design ID#, they give a onceover w.r.t the nos. of legs u need and to confirm your fittings (basically small stuff). Then once SO created just pay at counter and collect the goods.

Between Ikea Cheras and Dsara both are generally positive experience however if high demand parts u may need to buy n collect from another store. Last time I bought whole bottom half all in stock at Dsara, then want to add the top half ended up piecemeal from both central stores, so happen everyone also installing the same look so low parts, need to visit the other store and online ordered the door which came from Batu Kawan PG.

Installation either DIY or book their installer also can.
Its certainly DIYable, alot of online videos and guides, some tools required here and there.

The last time i check with terrazzo malaysia back in 2020, their price was rm35/sf(without installation and transport) for a slab of terrazzo and they do have different size of slab(2400mmx1800m & 2400x1600mm) then they can cut according your need.

I just want to know what to expect before approaching any kitchen cabinet custom maker..

Depending on material grade/thickness and fittings (looks like 8+3feet to me) and who's doing it, between 8 to 30k possible.
You can also guesstimate from ikea cabinet sample to get a rough idea for the cabinet excl quartz top.

An suggest which silicon able within kitchen humidity condition without mold...? My kitchen silicon gap just 6 month already grow mold...

Planning to buy an IKEA KC And assemble it myself. Problem is there is a sink basin provided in my unit and I cannot install it on my KC Myself.

How much is the market rate to cut a hole in my KC and install/replace the current basin ya?

Can share pic of how this "sink basin" look like?
If its the FOC developer sink (the 50 bucks type) usually ppl throw away/send to recycle shop and install a proper sink when they install a kitcab.
See whether it is supported by two iron pipe from wall (just cut off with hacksaw also can), or its hung onto the wall using screw and brackets (easy to remove)

Cutting the hole for sink leh.. this depends on whether you are going with 3rd party top or ikea top.
If ikea top u can try ask them just for minimum job of the countertop ( https://www.ikea.com/my/en/customer-service...n-installation/ ) from 85/m (min 200)

If stone top (3rd party) the top supplier should be able to cut for you.

Standard Rumawip sink, planning to buy a smaller bowl sink, how much does it cost to install KC (assemble myself, but need service to glue the kitchen cabinet against the ground, remove old sink, install new sink etc)

Oh FOC sink lol. I tot u got a fancy sink. Generally ikea kitcab is hung on the wall. Doesnt require gluing to floor.

My case the dev dont install this FOC sink since most ppl also throw away but if ppl want they will install.

Sharing my experience in getting my new home cabinets done (Wardrobes, Kitchen cabinet, TV Cabinet and Shoe Cabinet), by Aaron as recommended in the forum here.

He is a friendly guy and quick to respond to messages. We also like his team, a good mix of all culture and experiences.

While he did send the cabinets in on time as promised, but he took slightly longer than initially promised to complete the installation (3 weeks instead of 2 weeks).

Overall very happy with their product and design. There were a few defects here and there, but Aaron is very quick to turn up and replace them without giving any excuses.

There a lot contractors out there don't turn up once the full payment settled. He is different. I would like to engage him again & again for any jobs in future.

I asked about 7 different carpentry company for quotations, i would put their company as right in the middle.

IKEA is having 50% off delivery, just ordered knoxhult 1.8m for RM700 and paid rm50 delivery.

Seems like a good deal considering the package is 100kg in total

notice there are a lot kitchen cabinet pricing but all comes with different spec.. I am looking at what they claim full aluminium kitchen cost about $10k with quartz top .. but I am also looking at option to built concrete table top with tiles and aluminium cabinet..

which option should I go for? which one is more less hassle maintenance and more robust usage?

How long is the cabinet you want? Top and bottom?

yes top and bottom around 14ft bottom

In that case maybe cost at least 15k, try get quotation first from those aluminium KC maker.
