Hi zen,
as a banker my advice, its wise if...
> THe settlement does'nt require any notice or 1 month lieu of the instalment
> the settlement does'nt impose any penalty
> the repayment tenure is shorter or the same as the present loan
> Of course if the repayment is lower...

Hi there Jep,
since your looking for a loan that amount why don't you go to bank rakyat or bank islam cause they're the lowest rate, I'm working for al-rajhi btw and our rates is 5.05% for first 2 years and 6.99% for following years and our payout is 93%

I plan to borrow about 50K for housing and extra 20K @ say 5.8%..while waiting for my house to finish at middle of next year...i plan to invest the extra 20K into ASB since asb dividen is roughly higher a bit than the loan interest...is it worth it?

Simple calculation can be use if u know ur loan amount, interest rate and tenure

Loan Amount - 15k
Interest Rate - 10% P.A
Tenure - 5 years

10% x 5 years = 50%
15k + 7.5k (50% Interest of ur loan)
22500 / 60 = 375

I think u mean guarantor? I guess not much different about repayment for loan with or without guarantor. Just the chance for loan to get approve is higher with guarantor.
