I just made a personal loan of RM 6k from RHB Easy today. Actually I intend to choose 1 year tenure, but during the registration process the staff there said he will make it 5 years because their system might reject the application if the monthly repayment and my monthly pay ratio deemed unsuitable. Then he said I can one-shot settle it after 6 months, with rebate.

After the loan is approved, I'm quite surprised to see the total repayment amount of RM 10356.60. So I want to know how much is the rebate from RHB if I repay the loan after, say, 1 year instead of 5 years. I'm worried about the rebate being too little, coz had I really forced for the 1 year repayment, only had to pay around RM 800++ extra, compared to RM 4k++ extra

p/s: this is my first time getting personal loan

Actually I did ask for 1 year tenure, but the staff insisted on 5 years, telling me that the system might reject my application if it deemed my monthly income is not suitable for the monthly repayment rate for 1 year. Then the staff told me that after 6 months, I then have option to settle the loan one shot, and RHB will give me rebate (amount undisclosed). In their terms and conditions ( http://www.rhb.com.my/easy/pdf/Easy-Pinjam...spres_Terma.pdf ), they did mention about penalty (Yuran Keluar Awal), but that if I paid within 6 months.

So for RHB Easy, let's say if I try to settle it within 1 year, do I need to pay the 10k++ (plus interest for 5 years), or lesser? And how much was the penalty?

Dear guys, now i have pl with rhb easy. want to know to calculate the settlement for it.
borrowed rm18 000/first payment is on dec2010/last is may2011 so already 6 month no penalty rite? and each month deduct rm486+15 (insurances) 5yrs plan.
balance outstanding now is rm17097.40 in bank statement
since interest is 11.63% flat its about rm2093.4 yearly
since i paid rm2916 already and 6month interest is rm1050??
2916-1050 =rm1866
when i do full settlement is i am paying 18000-1866=Rm16134 or pay the bank outstanding rm17097???
Any one can teach me, thanks alot.

heard std chrtd offered personal loan with interest lowest 7.5% repayment up to 5 yrs...
no processing fees with cash back yearly...quite good offer.
*
yes.. any amount also 7.5% u have to apply directly under employee bank team.. just walk in to the bank..

and im from Price Solutions a wholly owned subsidiary of standard chartered, (NOT 3RD PARTY AGENT) .. now interest rate already increased around 9%, but there are still sum customers getting lower than that, of coz not all, and of coz later they will deduct sum of my commission coz im the one who request interest reduction . .. cry.gif

Not familiar with EASY but if my memory serve me right. The lock in period is 6 months so after that period u can pay off in one shot. But in terms of rebate? we don't so call rebate it's more like this. Cos RHB is based on reducing terms.
So if u settled after 1 year meaning the remaining 4 years the interest you save it already. Since the interest is charge on monthly basis based on your new balance.

Easy RHB the penalty should be RM200 regardless how much your loan amount. Unless u take the normal loan then it's 1% or RM100 whichever is higher. =) so don't worry she advice u to take 5 years is the right one. Cos it's easier approval and lock in 6 months so you can pay off after you got better package or extra cash after 1 year.

Eon CC has call on cash....

Rate = 3.99 % pa flat for 1 year only
or 3.33% pa flat for 3 years

Thinking to get the 3.33% and pay my housing loan which is 4.6%...

Overall, save over RM850+ interest if I do so.
