Halp! I want to apply for a PL... working for 3 yrs already under private company. current annual income is roughly RM40k... I need a loan of RM15k for 5 yrs tenure.
I applied for CIMB islamic but was rejected.. i think it was the best because the rate is reasonable 8.88%, no need processing fees or force me to buy insurance/takaful cry.gif am searching for other alternatives.... any suggestions or advice? I couldn't think of any other banks that could provide such competitive rates for private workers... sweat.gif

SCB - no penalty charges
u take 10k, after 6 mths want to settle, just inform the bank 1 month earlier, and settle the remaining principle balance.. without any interest for the balance.

gud what....hehehe smile.gif

Rhb got penalty rite...tat day i was checking at the kiosk.. not sure how much is the penalty

rhb min  interest - 12%

SCB - 8% min..

hehehe... apply in SCB better la bro.

and .. u apply 10k, u wont get full amount of 10k from rhb, got processing fees and stamping duty...

scb - u get full amount  icon_rolleyes.gif

i look at SCB website and i couldn't understand the loan repayment table.... yes... there's 8.5%, 10%, 11.25%... could be misleading for ppl like me rclxub.gif

Yes, i guess even CIMB also advertised 8.88% = but that is the min interest they're offering

same as SCB, 8.05% is the min, depends on ur risk level, the interest can go high till 11 / 12% ..but as low as 8%

we're offering FREE insurance.. no need to pay for it.

no processing fees and guarantor.

as long as u have a credit card min 1 year with any bank and no CCRIS prob ...+ payment for other loans including ur credit card min payment on time every mth. = shuld be OK

not that i'm aware of but i think CIMB advertised it as a flat rate of 8.88% pa. they did not mention other interest rate unlike other banks, which always advertise the lowest interest rate (e.g. "from" min of 0.74% per mth) whistling.gif

what is this risk level you're talking about? where do i fit in this plan?

email sent.. if high commitment can la.. maybe the interest a bit higher than ussual,..anyway, no harm to try, futhermore, scb gives 3 mths to consider, maybe can try few bank at a same time, then see which one u get good interest rate and the amount u want... but make sure the banks give u time to consider like SCB ...

as i checked wif OCBC, u only eligible for tat 5.5% if ur employer agreed to deduct the installment thru ur monthly  salary, if im not mistaken la..
*
Bro,

You are wrong already.
Salary deduction is for Corporate Loan. That one is confirm 5.5%-6.5% based on the tenure year you take.
For normal application, whoever have monthly income > RM15k or cc limit RM45k and above are entitled for 5.5%
Tier of interest is quoted by monthly income as below:
1) 2-2.9k : 12%
2) 3-4.9k : 11%
3) 5-9.9k : 9.5%
4) 10-14.9k : 8.5%
5) 15k and above : 5.5%

10s and have a nice day.

I'm planning to continue my Masters through online distance learning programme but the course will cost me around RM40k.

Currently I'm paying for car loan, personal loan and MARA loan.

Is there possibilities to get new loan for my education?

Please advise.

somebody from ocbc call me offering personal loan at 8.99%pa. He say that they only check ctos/ccris. they dont check commitment. is it true? that means as long as someone pay everything on time, they will be eligable to borrow, doesnt matter how much they already borrow with other bank! this is very dangerous..no wonder so many people bankrupt at young age...

hahaha.. like this also got huh..
actually, tats how the sales person 'goreng' to sell the loan
BUT. bear in mind, as a sales person, later customer complaint, KENA kow2 ..
dont know bout other bank.. in SCB, if got cust complaint (eventho sumtimes sum ppl create story and blame the salesperson) cust always rite, the bank will listen to customers only... commission got deduction...bad reputation,

DIE la..........

what about before 6 months? how much will scb charge for?

Different bank is different.

Some bank will charge you a small fee of penalty (like RM50 or lesser). Most bank requires you to pay at least 4 months of interest, while if you early settlement, then of coz the rest of the months won't be charge interest
CORRECT!
Here, bank will issue the person a cheque of remaining interests once he makes early settlement.
2.5% of outstanding principle will be charged if the person settles it BEFORE half of the tenure year.
Thanks.
