Hi, guys. Is it ok I paint some of the gunpla part with Gundam Weathering Marker? Just like Gundam Marker Basic Set.  smile.gif

u can like wat vinc said! But it is best u do it with brush or tissue dun used the marker! Unlike normal gundam marker this marker will leak a lot out of the head making ur whole kit really messy!

Hi guys, wanna ask for opinions/guidance.
When assembling, how u guys do it? Follow manual, cut out parts required step by step and sand them,

OR

Cut out all the parts required in a particular section (e.g. Chest), then sand every parts, then only assemble as per manual?

I finally can't take it with the MK-II box standing beside me (ya why da heck i place it beside me at the first place rite doh.gif), just finished assembling the chest.

usually ppl Pre-assemble means assemble EVERYTHING but dun snap everything 1st.. coz when u snap sure hard to take out d ma rite?
tat's y they say, cut male pegs, make the hole bigger so that ltr u can take out again to spray/sand/watever u wan to do.. smile.gif
i've posted a link from fichtenfoo in tutorial , read it up.. really helps a lot smile.gif

Cut ady then only snap.

Gonna stop assembling first, done with chest today. Gotta study!!!
BTW, the size of MK-II's chest is really big la, even bigger than Destiny's sounds like comparing boobs

actually if you been building gundam for ages already
then you already can guess this part goes where...

like me...i just cut all the parts few more steps ahead...then only assemble them...unless those parts that look familiar together...then only i leave it on the runner first cause i need to know what their number later...

whatever also...if you pre assemble them...after done everything and prime them..you still have to take them apart again to paint...

>>VincC: Cos before this i just cut as per manual step by step. Lately only taking modeling seriously, and start to sand off the nip points.

Just now while doing MK-II suddenly thought of it, tht's why ask here.

Thanks ya anyhow

lol this 1 i agree with vinc454 because my 1st time gunpla was EX-S which alot of runner and i also have headache when assemble but after that it seem like all other model kits (like freedom, or any other MG) i feel the parts are very few and easy to remember where i cut out in advance all the part where i want to assemble then only assemble them. oh well btw even the unicorn without the manual i can cut out everything and assemble close 1 eye jor as i keep assemble them and disassemble for more than 10 times to color + touch up + mod. biggrin.gif seem like the manual already burn inside my head jor.

>>m2n-e: OMG wat happened? Lao i don't think malaysia got sell extra parts though. Viable options:
1. Recast every single part required.
2. Buy another astray red-frame (not good idea)
3. Buy fake, and take hand (not really good either)
4. Try PM chriswoo, he can order runners. Do PM him for more details.

I know, cos i've lost parts too tongue.gif
