Just be careful which service you disable. I accidentally disabled the service for THX audio and not sure which one to enable back, end up reinstalling it and needed to reinstall the thx app seperately as well

I think gaming wise Intel might be better but AMD is more efficient and better for productivity I guess.

Also Intel have QuickSync for video rendering, speeds up video rendering time.

nowadays almost all video rendering software can utilize GPU, so QuickSync no longer a must.

Yep mine is 9th gen intel with the 2060. Initially had huge issues with c states thanks to an nvidia bug where the gpu was active all the time even when i was in MSHybrid mode but luckily a driver update using nvcleaninstall worked.

I got rid of the THX/Creative software and just use the basic Realtek driver and windows equalizer. Much better than any software exp since its native to windows

For me the THX software made alot of difference to listening on speakers. The Normalize function greatly increases the volume of soft videos like on netflix or series.

I've got GAN Chargers which charges my other type c enable laptops. They haven't started shipping the Omega but the 200w version should have no issues powering up or charging the Ionics for sure.

Thats good then! For me the creative software on my 9th gen unit did improve the sound but the software was incredibly buggy esp after windows and driver updates. So i just got rid of it entirely and used a workaround to get the realtek eq back

anyone had this problem after windows update, the power profile all gone and the ability to control min and max processing state of processor also disappear. any ideas? onyx pro

What are the diffs between onyx, laguna, raven, selenite etc?

raven for mid range
onyx pro for high end..
ionic are like ultrabooks

others for certain type of users like 17" screen

Im a raven user here. If i get to choose again i would go for onyx pro, last time noob dunno which to choose. Ionic really good for work except for the ugly non-visible keyboards.

can simply enable back using regedit.

Been thinking about getting either an onyx v amd or ionic for IT work. is ionic keyboard really bad? I'm used to thinkpad keyboards where its keys have slight inward slope and are few milimetres apart making it easy for typing.

Its not the typing but the visibility of the text... hard to see haha... find a model with 92WH battery and accordance to the weight you want. I think onyx non pro version got something similar. If you like Ionic design and built.. better wait for them to replace the keyboard first. Or go to the showroom and feel the keyboard see whether acceptable to u or not
