QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 17 2020, 07:18 AM) i think it will, because if not, those buy ps4 disc then say got free upgrade game how? lol.. but it creates another issue to sony, later ppl buy 2nd hand game ps4 then free upgrade to ps5 game. like tat might as well dont sell ps5 game disc lol. im talking about those free upgrade one like cyberpunk, borderlands3 etc.. Lol. Dude, they aren't worried at all about people buying 2nd hand PS4 games to get free upgrades to the PS5 versions. That's very little revenue lost in comparison to the much more important thing they care about - system adoption rate. Losing some revenue for the early cross gen titles for more adoption of the system is a much bigger payoff in the future for them. Sony aren't noobs in business. Besides, it's not like you can share those 2nd hand discs around either. The PS4 discs will need to remain in the drive of the PS5 before you start the game anyway. QUOTE(LegendLee @ Sep 17 2020, 12:21 PM) Yeap. For that usd100 difference, can buy a Xbox one s haha. Last/current gen console which can support 4k blu Ray + Atmos. Sony is really not concerned for this factor at all. Xbox Series S is certainly a a budget console, one would define it as cheap as well. But if we were to compare an S and an X side by side, would the difference in performance be significant?

You could more or less expect games on S to perform like PS4 pro variants. I do think the difference between X and S will be signicant.

Either way, the differences between Series S and Series X / One S and One X is greater than PS4 and PS4 pro.

i will go for digital version for easier game purchase and my most recent games were all digital, so no issue to play on ps5.
now waiting for malaysia pre-order kickoff
a bit disappointed that HFW is also supporting ps4, this will pull down the game quality and creativity. i wonder it is still possible for alloy to fly on flying machine

I do think the difference between X and S will be signicant. If the difference between PS4 and PS4 Pro is not obvious to the untrained eyes, and that does not stop people from preferring a more superior version, I guess the same would be for an X as well. 8K undoubtedly will be the future, and if that's the case, an S is dead on arrival.

Don't think you'd need a trained eye to recognize the difference between 30fps and 60fps (or higher) though. Pretty sure that would be the biggest most obvious difference between the S and X. We'll see few titles at 8k just so MS can check their box and say "look we didn't lie, we have 8k games!". Sure, even 16k minesweeper shouldn't be too hard to pull off no. QUOTE(Deathhunter @ Sep 17 2020, 02:49 PM) new base price of 1st party sony titles is 70$ WOW !! Then 3rd party games will follow suit Then other platforms will also follow. Soon the base price for most AAA games regardless of platform like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or steam will be USD 70. This post has been edited by LegendLee: Sep 17 2020, 02:59 PM

$70 MSRP for games has been a long time coming. I was already surprised that current-gen didn't go for $70, 7 years ago.

I think the best choice is the ps5 standard Edition.
These games are not cheap. After playing them or if you bought the wrong game you can just sell them in the second hand market. Vice versa, if you are looking to get a game, why buy new when you can spend less and get a used one.
On the contrary. Digital games cannot be traded / sold.
Just my thoughts. Never owned a console before and this will be my first. Let me know your thoughts.

Pricing about as expected. Going to wait for price drop or until a must play game comes out. Game also getting too expensive nowadays and I don't have much time for games now. Old d lol.
