I'm totally illiterate to install myself unless just direct usb to cigarette adapter.
My car just a jazz. Rm970+ does seems expensive but thinking if it can last 5 years then justified, since battery dash cam eg xiaomi 70mai rm200+ x2 front rear and if battery die after 2 years then become almost same rm900+. Not sure if my thinking correct.
If your Jazz is still under warranty, you may want to avoid hardwiring it to fuse box in case it voids warranty. And for your Jazz, self installation of rear cam may be an issue if you don't know how to run the wire (you don't want the wire to kena kepit when you open/close the hatch).
Life span of the cams depends on your driving pattern (long drive = more recording) and where you park your car (battery doesn't like heat).
For my rear cam, I'm using B1W (thanks to
blurjoey for recommending it). It uses capacitor, so battery failure is avoided. The small form factor also doesn't block my view when using rear view mirror. My car is a City, so it's easy to wire the rear cam to take power from the ciggy ports for the rear passenger.
For front, I use Yi Dashcam. It's been more than two years and it's still surviving but my car is underutilised and it's parked in sheltered car park at work and home.
