Wow~~ This price and plan look attractive.. brows.gif
However, it's look like conflict with Unifi Air...

Don't know those who already subscribe Unifi air macam mana? whistling.gif

Unifi Air is full speed and designed for home use. As it is a alternative to TM's fixed line broadband offering (like Maxis One Go Home Wifi), it won't be subject to hotspot limits.

While the mobile plan is capped at max 7Mbps, and subjectable to further change of FUP/AUP, which mean that hotspot feature could be removed/limited at their own discretion.

Just hope that hotspot feature won't be removed/if they plan to remove it, giving generous quota for general use as it is one of the few Unlimited ans that allow the usage of hotspot feature without any restrictions, which I sometimes appreciate due to the sometimes unreliable Streamyx (which my area is due to upgrade to the Fiber infra at the end of 2020)

(Although modified devices could be used for hotspot, but if detected, the services could be terminated/suspended due to being clear violation to the telco FUP/service T&C)

Unifi Mobile Bebas promo RM35 for 30days unlimited data remains the same which is hotspot-able.

Pengguna boleh menggunakan data LTE ini pada telefon mudah-alih, selain turut boleh digunakan untuk penggunaan hotspot.

unlike unifi mobile postpaid, unifi bebas never have hotspot quota from the start 2 years ago. bebas means freedom. can used with any device.

I actually had the same conversation with Unifi Mobile live chat, (actually spoke with 4 different CS person to be sure) got the same answer from 3 of them ~ No speed cap what-so-ever and the 4th person say speed is supposed to be around 10 - 15Mbps average.

Then they asked me to perform 3 speed test within 2 hours, so what I did is perform 3 speed-test from 3 different sites so that the Unifi buggers dun have any point to argue.
Did 1 from fast.com, second from Unifi's ™ own speed-test site and 3rd one from speedtest.com

Repeat the process on both Band 5 and Band 40, then repeat on 3 devices (Huawei Nova 5T, Samsung Note 10 and Huawei B525a-65a) and repeat every 2 hours to get 6 complete sets of speed-test.
(Each set consist of 6 speed-test per-device - B5 & B40).

Armed with the speed-test results and screenshots from CS staff. I then open a report with MCMC aduan portal.
Actually I emailed Unifi Mobile tech support first but I got irritated with the stupid answers they gave me.
Even after proving that Band 40 is faster then Band 5 they still ask me to check support for Band 5. WTF!!

~ READ BELOW~

According to the previous update {REPORT NUMBER}, there is no issue found with our base station that you are connected.
Our technical team has also checked that nearest to the address of yours, there are no abnormalities and have unifi  users connected over there. Our system also shows that the site is operating normally.
Kindly be advice to try the connection by using other certified phone to isolate device issue. You are recommend to move open space to improve signal reception.
We highly encourage you to use a smartphone that supports Band 5 services to fully experience our unifi LTE service. You may refer to https://unifi.com.my/mobile/postpaid/phonecompatibility.html to check if your device is supported by unifi LTE network.

So now after I open report with MCMC. The ticket has been assigned to Unifi support but suddenly they went quiet, its been 5 days already. Maybe dunno how to reply lol.gif lol.gif
So now its my turn to keep chasing them every 1 or 2 days for an update.

Actually they called me twice, I told them I want a fix for the problem or them to update their FUP and mention that its speed capped to 8Mbps.
Told them if they are going to ask me to diagnose my gadgets to waste my time then don't bother to call me. There is nothing else to diagnose, the evidence is all there and its clear as daylight.
No nid give excuses anymore. brows.gif

And if they want communicate with me, do it on SKMM ticket. No nid call me directly. I want transparency so that the buggers at SKMM can also see what is going on.

No use drag them to court, waste time. They will keep delaying it and waste your time n money.
They have an army of lawyers doing nothing so they have all the time to waste.

Best thing is that everyone should open SKMM report, gather all evidence and present there.
Let SKMM saman them for failing to meet the QoS standard.

Your only investment is just few hours of your time and literally no money involved. tongue.gif

from my experiences dealing with various telco...
CS normally would call direct & somehow "nego" so they can quickly close case... spin2 until cannot recognized already bruce.gif

once after 30days ended.. case still active. would be directed to MCMC officers... then still not solved. red flag on the telco. finally added points & later totally counted... and fine $$ to the telco.. like we see previously in newspaper. few million to each telco for various reasons...

well not only Unifi..
others telco also like that... keep spin2.. says it's device issues... not telco issues...
so u better monitor your case.. they would suddenly close the case & tag as resolved. so u keep reopen the case until solution is found or diverted to MCMC officers for action.

I think is a winning compare to other telco as everyday u can get 1gb free till end of 2020. That is 30gb per month foc. Furthermore, bebas Sim has no monthly fee.
