is torrent file trottled, just getting less than 10kb/s
*
Throttled to 64kbps if you are using one of the Unlimited passes on Unifi Mobile (also standard on U Mobile and Digi unlimited data plans). No throttle on torrent applies when you are using high speed passes with limited quota.

Why I can't use/get VoLTE lately? It was useable previously. The phone model is Samsung Galaxy S10+.

Similar to Digi, Unifi Mobile has started to show unifi#StayHome as operator logo. The data network suddenly disconnected for a few seconds and when reconnected, it started to show this. Happened in JB area.

Ever since the free unlimited data pass introduction (to encourage us to stay home for work and entertain), the 4G network start to disconnect very frequently and become extremely unstable, presumably due to the huge surge of data usage. Usually, the download speed in my area can reach more than 80Mbps (more than 100Mbps in some cases) during peak periods without unlimited pass due to low subscriber base in my area. Due to overwhelming usage, the speed is now around 1-3 Mbps during peak periods, and this is considering their low subscriber base.

I like the idea of unlimited data/large data quota as it gives me the freedom to use internet whenever I move. However this is the reason why unlimited mobile data plans isn't ready in Malaysia (and elsewhere) until the vast majority of households take fixed line internet as their main connection as the infra isn't ready to support the availability of unlimited data. Countries who usually offer unlimited data on phones already have wide adoption of fixed line internet and also wide adoption of public WiFi or they are offering an early version of 5G network, which clearly isn't unlimited bandwidth. Moreover these are subject to telco's Fair/Acceptable use policy, which this Telco is using.

If the unlimited hotspot feature is retained (or even generous amount of hotspot data), this is the best ever plan available in the market, as long as the user stay on 4G coverage area. This is even considering 7Mbps speed cap on the plan.

Later everyone slow how? Bandwidth is not unlimited right?

Good concern. If too much users hopping into the Unifi then, everyone will get slower as the bandwidth isn't unlimited.

Wow~~ This price and plan look attractive.. brows.gif
However, it's look like conflict with Unifi Air...

Don't know those who already subscribe Unifi air macam mana? whistling.gif

Unifi Air is full speed and designed for home use. As it is a alternative to TM's fixed line broadband offering (like Maxis One Go Home Wifi), it won't be subject to hotspot limits.

While the mobile plan is capped at max 7Mbps, and subjectable to further change of FUP/AUP, which mean that hotspot feature could be removed/limited at their own discretion.

Just hope that hotspot feature won't be removed/if they plan to remove it, giving generous quota for general use as it is one of the few Unlimited ans that allow the usage of hotspot feature without any restrictions, which I sometimes appreciate due to the sometimes unreliable Streamyx (which my area is due to upgrade to the Fiber infra at the end of 2020)

(Although modified devices could be used for hotspot, but if detected, the services could be terminated/suspended due to being clear violation to the telco FUP/service T&C)

Yup, no service at all when you want to use internet! Seems like it is not just me. Calls are fine (over Celcom 3G).

I have plans to move 1 of Yes FT5G line to Unifi Bebas (as I wish to keep the number) in 2 weeks time, so this is a great help for me.

Possibly the fastest port in process that I ever seen, take less than 1 mins for Yes (between the Yes reply and approval) to approve the process

5 May - purchase SIM via app and try to port out from Yes
8 May 3pm - Get the SIM on TM Point
9 May 9:45 am - Yes send SMS request for port out
9:46 am - send YES
user posted image

9:47 am - request approved by Yes

10:02 am - Signal loss and that number is officially ported to Unifi

So, the worst is

1)  Yes
2)  Umobile

Which one is the next?
*
For me it is Yes, U Mobile and Celcom (specifically XPAX)

Yes has poor to non existent coverage/service in many indoor areas (even outdoors) although it can be really fast when Band 40/38 coverage is available and also comes with free data with partnership of Shopee.

Yes don't even bother expand their mobile coverage to more areas as they are "too satisfied" with their existing coverage.

XPAX is too expensive for regular use, regardless of their "unlimited" or their "high speed" plan. At least Hotlink have better data plans when compared to XPAX (they did allow hotspot legally with add-on despite it's limited FUP). What's ridiculous is their wholly owned subsidiary Yoodo has much better plans than XPAX.

I am not happy with U Mobile because of bad experience and has never touched that since 2019.

First image - without unlimited pass (using expensive full speed data, RM50 for 8GB)
Second image - With "revamped" unlimited pass. Severely throttled with slow speed, which is around 5Mbps as described (Only purchased 1 day pass for test). The experience is not good when compared to the previous variant.

Will keep using Unifi Mobile but only as a back up service/to park number due to kredit tak mati feature.

This simply mades Digi's and U Mobile's current unlimited offering better. As some here said Unifi had hired some "Trojan horse" from U Mobile.

I purposely exceeding the FUP quota by download a lot of things (in my case, 10GB as I subscribe to daily package), and the message is what I get.

One thing for sure is the Hotspot is counted seperately (even when the 10GB limit is exceeded) and is not subjected to speed caps

The old package is simply much, much better.

Can you show how much they charge for extra hotspot?

I am not able to find that specific menu but it should be referring to the standard expensive high speed pass (???)

You know something is terribly wrong on Unifi Mobile's marketing team when even Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited's offering is more attractive than of the new, awful offering of Unifi Mobile. Whats makes them so dare to place such a low quota and low hotspot quota when their more established competitors are giving out 50GB/100GB/300GB FUP for both hotspot/mobile use.

Just hope that they didn't ruin the longevity feature as I love that feature so much.

I am extremely disappointed with you, Fahmi. Can easily be the worst Communications and Digital Minister. Gobind era is one of the best.

New price..cheap for 8g

So which order of my passes will the unifi deduct first? anyone can confirm this?
*
From what I had tried (I have 5G/4G Pass and the Free pass on one of my SIMs), it will deduct the 5G/4G pass first before deducting free pass.

The usage priority is Unifi Bebas unlimited pass > Monthly pass (that one with 30GB data) > 5G/4G pass > Free pass (if available) > 4G pass > 4G/2G pass.

Hi all,

i using unifi mobile prepaid RM35 unlimited package, i just knew that speed capped at 5mbps for 4g connection. For 5g, it is also capped speed 5 mbps?

I using iphone 13 pro max, i don't know why i can't connect to 5g, live text with TM cs, they said created report, will get back to me in 3 days.
*
For 5G - it is definitely uncapped in terms of speed. I subscribed to a daily "unlimited" plan from Unifi Mobile to test and can get almost 700Mbps over 5G (actual internet speeds depends on the network condition of an area)

When I switched to 4G, the internet speed is capped to 5Mbps (even if it has the capacity for faster speeds - I had reached 100+ Mbps on 4G with the no validity high speed pass.)

Merdeka RM5 cashback promotion on their RM35 monthly "unlimited" plan (which I treat it as 60GB high speed 5G data plan these days due to FUP)

Well - their 2 hour plan is sometimes useful when I need to download something - the 5G speed is good enough for me to download large files in urgent outdoors.

Wait, even for postpaid 4G is capped to 5 Mbps?

4G speed on postpaid should not be capped.
The 5Mbps cap refers to the prepaid "unlimited" data plan.
