I actually use that formula for my personal investment tracking google sheets. Inside gsheet or excel also got XIRR functions which should do similar things.

Robo advisors are way way way slower than those high frequency trading bots. And they seek to lower losses than chasing highest gains.

Have not really heard of this company/bot personally, but based on the news below, I think they are not HFT.


On the flip side, there are crazy success stories, like Renaissance's Medallion fund.

K1 and SA are very different in nature. SA is incredibly simple at its core (just a bunch of US focused ETFs portfolio), while K1 is likely very aggressive and complex, probably employing all kinds of instruments (like swaps and futures, and maybe also Leveraged ETFs) to try to hit 30-50% p/a targets.

Good to hear these are different from SA.

Its very scary for noob investors like me that not good in financial stuff but need to invest to protect money value due to inflation and also for growth.

In that case, SA would just say "good time to buy now!" and once it goes back to USD1=MYR4.5, then you untung loh haha

But yeah, you would lose a lot if you put in MYR1m tomorrow and that happens.

If you practice DCA, then such a scenario would not have a huge impact.
