today is 2nd of May, and I just deposited . I have been depositing every 2nd of the month since Jan 2019. Risk at 18%. So far return at 1% sad.gif

Should I have another portfolio at 36% for diversification

I plan to ride it out to test StashAway. Continue my monthly money dump in and maintain my risk level

DCA is the way to go for most people, just put in a fixed amount every month and you will see your money grow.

DCA weekly or monthly?? which is better? At the moment me at 1% positive

If you are disciplined to do it weekly then might as well lo, maybe better maybe lower returns, it depends on the market. but DCA'ing in general is better than timing the markets. I am assuming u are splitting the payments from monthly to weekly and not paying the same amount for both monthly and weekly right?

For example, u usually invest RM400 a month, then now u change your strategy, u put RM100 a week. I think it makes not much difference, though I have not made any extended calculations.

But I reckon that investing weekly will be slightly better, mainly because u will be paying 52 weekly payments (RM5200) instead of 12 monthly payments (RM4800).

Just remember this, "Time in the market is better than timing the market." - unknown.

If drop 50% also just hold nia.

Thanks thanks thanks.

I started on Jan2019 at 18% risk, profit up and down in this 7 months, and have been DCA every 2 weeks. Today it is at 5% profit, ok lah, will cont DCA.

Is it advisable to have another portfolio in a higher risk? like 26%

I am curious how much do you guys invest a week? DCA?
I was doing around 200 ringgit weekly.
don't know if it is ok to up it. I was keeping 20% as a buffer, so any crash, can buy

I have been with SA MY since April this year at risk index 18% , and today return at 6% . This i consider quite alright, as it is part of my diversification. Been DCA weekly too.

Now, is it advisable to have SA Singapore? Was having some thoughts on that.

I am still putting money in weekly. I started StashAway 11 months ago. It's part of my diversification, and intend to stay invested for at least 3 year. It's also small percentage of my portfolio. My biggest portion of my portfolio is FD

I started SA a year ago, and been putting same amount of money in weekly.
Now looking at the USD/MYR exchange rate(weak MYR), it is wise to still DCA? (as a forumer mentioned before)

I joined SAMY at 18% risk beginning of the year and been putting money in regularly. The returns have been nice at 12%.

I was thinking opening an account at StasAway Singapore, will the investments strategy different from SAMY?
Is it a wise idea to open in Singapore?

TQ

No. Portfolios are exactly the same on both sides.

I use both.

Thanks for the answer.

I am guessing u use both because of the currency (more stable SGD) ? tongue.gif

My money-weighted return at 11.59%

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 2 2020, 08:32 PM)
Wow, that's a pretty respectable return.

Mind if I ask what else do you invest in apart from StashAway?

Cheers

I have other investment in FD, UT, Bonds and KLSE. Biggest percentage is in FD ( too bad interest rates suck)
