I'm new to StashAway and I'm trying to set up a portfolio with general investing.
When I choose a balance portfolio growth, the most aggressive is 20% stashaway risk index.
But when I choose I want to take a little more risk, the most aggressive is 7.5% stashaway risk index.
How come? I thought if I want to take more risk, the stashaway index should be higher in percentage, no?

QUOTE(tadashi987 @ Apr 21 2019, 12:36 AM) you sure? from this screen i chosen "i want to take a little more risks" [attachmentid=10230210] then go to this screen [attachmentid=10230212] the risk index is 26 / 30 / 36% or is it because you haven't unlock your high risk index function yet? QUOTE(honsiong @ Apr 21 2019, 09:53 AM) Screenshots? You probably misclicked something. It should be 26/30/36. I tried many times so I finally gave up. I deleted that portfolio and created a new one. The new one is like what you guys described.

How does SA calculate the total return in percentage?
does it calculate the annualised return? and does it consider the different times in which we deposit our money?

QUOTE(honsiong @ Aug 19 2019, 01:41 AM) You don’t need to adjust ur risk, the page is just to tell you what they are about to do, whether you accept or not you will be moved to use reoptimized portfolios anyway. I also got the same notification for my 30% risk fund. so just accept? can choose not to accept?

So u will receive RM3996 and balance will be RM6000 if there's no movement in the currency/market. Thanks! and after the 6 months management fee-free period, how much do we pay in management fee? How is it calculated?

QUOTE(neverfap @ Aug 30 2019, 09:32 AM) Reply from StashAway: Our management fee ranges from 0.2%-0.8% per annum. It is charged monthly, on a pro rata basis, on the average Assets under Management (AUM) of that month. Kindly note that the average AUM also includes any returns made on the portfolio. This fee includes the cost of executing the ETF transactions, rebalancing your portfolio and changing your asset mix when economic conditions change (re-optimization). There is no additional brokerage/ transaction fee or any other fee. Please note that ETFs charge, on average, an expense ratio of 0.15%-0.25%. This is charged over the course of the year in the form of adjustments to the Net Asset Value. This is not an actual cash flow borne by you. It is offset by the EFT funds before distributing the returns back to you. This expense ratio is incurred regardless of what platform you use to purchase ETFs. There is also a currency conversion fee of 0.1% on the spot rate charged by our broker. This fee is much lower than what you will get with most banks on the street. Also, just to share, 0.1% is 0.001. If you watch the way currencies move in any given day, it will probably move by more than that in any given day. Besides those, there are no other charges charged to you. Hope this clarifies Thanks!

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Aug 31 2019, 10:49 AM) that is what bothers me too. we should expect the return to average out over years (peaks and troughs is normal) but when to leave? think of it as a place to store your money. When you need it, just withdraw (hopefully with positive return).

QUOTE(Aghi @ Sep 16 2019, 08:49 PM) Guys, can I pay to SA using credit card? If I did pay using CC for investment thing, will there be interest that I need to pay (my dad told this). Maybe just to scare me😑. I know there is a interest charged for late payment, but this sound new to me. your father is correct. If there were such a service, you'd be charged fees! you're trying to "withdraw" cash for SA, that's cash advance. SA is not stupid; they wouldn't want to bear that CC fees.
