My 36% port no movement

I think stashaway only buy/sell when each individual account reaches max weightage of the individual ETFs in basket?

Hi, everybody has this dividend entitlement in SA simple? Completed 8/7. Rm12.46. Is it a fixed amount? Or based on number of units held? When will we see this reflected in our account? And this dividend is on top of the regular returns (2.4%)? Thanks.

Completed means the amount is already in your Simple™ portfolio.

But my portfolio didn't increase by 12.46, only the usual 2-3 days few ringgit.

It is the same for me. I think just gotta wait one more day for them to update it. I assume they will by more units with that dividend.

Was wondering about this as well. But when you check the total, the dividend is consider as part of the capital. The capital seems reduce. So the amount still same. I don't understand this.

I had already explained how distribution works for unit trust (Post #7283).
But you guys seem don't like/believe my explanation and thinking that SAMY will create miracle with their disguised Simple™.

The only real gain is rebate if it is in term of cash form and NAV appreciation:

QUOTE
StashAway Simple™’s projected returns are driven by the rate of returns of its underlying investments, net of all expenses and rebates. The math on the projected rate of returns is quite straightforward: StashAway Simple™ projected returns are the sum of the amortised yield from the underlying fund, minus fees charged by the underlying fund managers, plus any rebates. Eastspring Investments rebates StashAway, and we distribute this full rebate to you when we receive it each month.

It is just another money market fund.

There were rebates once from both money market funds in Singapore’s Simple.

How was it being distributed?
In term of cash or in term of extra units (like distribution)?

Normally, distribution is reinvested at adjusted NAV unless specifically instructed otherwise.
You'll be getting extra units in return and ex-date NAV will be adjusted down accordingly.

Seems like the confusion was because it's written as dividend. I've figured it out I think. After dividend, nav drop, hence my initial amount also drop. I deposit $5k, now only $4990.xx (99.75% asset). The remaining 0.25% is cash, from the dividend, $12.46. Which I think next few days will be use to buy more units. Ended up actually returns increase few ringgit, not $12.46.

I cant be clear on this one, coz I did a withdrawal right after the rebate, so I couldnt tell if it was distributed or went back into the NAV... but I think its distributed then stayed in portfolio as cash, until the next deposit to make it buy new units again.

Check with customer support to be sure, I think this is very trivial matter lah.

Distribution is MYR 0.0013 per unit.
ie. RM0.0013 X your SA simple unit as at 6 Jul 2020.

yesterday, it record in the Cash (MYR) account.
today, it show buy order in progress. BTW, I do top up some fund after distribution date.

At least SA has a capital market license from SC. I would stay far far away from Pentaip.

Yes you are right. Today mine also showing RM12.46 buying in progress. What I don't understand is, why not directly convert into units? like wasted a few days, from 6/7 till complete buying progress i reckon tmr? Is all unit trust also like this during distribution?

i no buy unit trust, so I really not sure about others how their distribution works.

I think Simple just wanna to record the distribution MYR on 6/7 first. Then do the buy order today to reflect the UNIT after the reinvestment date (8/7).
