I have 20+ people signed up with my referral code and 5 months left. If you know how to code, do not have ongoing fee waiver, you can submit a pull request to anonoz/stashawayreferral.xyz and I will update the link on stashawayreferral.xyz to your promo code.

Or if you are top contributor in this thread, then gimme ur code, I put up there. Just that few ppl ever found the site thru googling.

I seem to notice my portfolio update much later than usual. It's been updating after 1pm for me. Is this happening to everyone else as well?

I also realise that some of you track outside the app but yeah, just thought I'd ask.
*
Home/Portfolio ~ update around 1pm.

Home/General investing/Assets ~ update around 9:30am.

if you add up each assets class, the total did not tally at 9:30am. It will be tally by 1pm later.

to make things easier, just view the SAMY account after 1pm.

I am using yahoo finance to keep track SAMY portfolio. unsure got any limitation or not confused.gif

Portfolio risk index ~ % portion

min 6.5% ~ 46% Govt Bond + 30% Corp Bond + 14% intl Equity + 9% gold + 1% cash
8%
.
.
.
18% ~ 30% Govt Bond + 3% Corp Bond + 36% US Equity sector + 15% intl Equity + 15% gold + 1% cash
.
.
.
.
max 36% ~ 72% US Equity sector + 27% intl Equity + 1% cash

we cannot change the % portion, just adjust the portfolio risk index to find the most suitable one.

How do you see all this? I only got a choice of 30% .

*
Home/Portfolio/Keep_Planning/General_Investing/ <click the Get Started>

pick the higher-risk. Move the risk index point from 26% to 36%. View the choice under Assets. Click one of the asset class, eg US equity sector, you can view all the ETF invested in. Same with others portfolio. Build your portfolio correctly over here.

We can choose the most relevant ETF that we want to invest in.

The 36 has been reduced to 30 which is currently doing really really bad but atleast 6.5 is holding relatively alright bc of 99% is on fixed income. Reason I setup my portfolios in this way bc i don't want any overlapping etf.

SAMY mostly US and Europe.

from the LYN reading, maybe try to look at Mytheo (Japan, Hong Kong , Singapore) or Wahed (Malaysia).

I think Friday is not a good time for adding fund into SAMY.
They cannot complete it with buying order within the night itself.
I noticed this on 2 deposits made via JomPay on 2 Fridays.
*
Last Friday bank in using IBG. according to IBG transfer schedule, bank in before 5am, the fund will reach SAMY by 11am.

1. Transfer to SAMY around 5:05am. initially thought tak jadi on the same day.
2. SAMY update the transaction by 1pm
3. Conversion and order placed by 4pm
4. Saturday already update the buy order in my portfolio.

However, it is a bit tiring to wake up so early to do the trf.

what is the deposit timing for your JomPay?

How does my money get invested from the moment I make a deposit?

Is your bank account linked to SAMY. If linked, then can put date you want to transfer--although I have no idea at what time they will withdraw the $ from your bank account
*
try setting future IBG, it does not work. only got a msg from bank said this IBG unsuccessful a days later. Maybe will try do the setting again once the market more stable.

SAMY did not show how much gain from forex and how much gain from portfolio asset.

SAMY only provide TWR and MWR for both currency.

Well because the common problem in the industry is that people have a lookback window to look at volatility and risk estimates. The problem is that when you are looking back at good times you are always going to underestimate the extent of the moves when the storm hits. It's called a calm before the storm effect. StashAway addresses this by not looking back arbitrarily. Instead, we look at the whole history, we take slices of the data that correspond to stress scenarios. In fact, we rank them by the top 10 pain scenarios, 2008 global financial crisis if it happens tomorrow, what's the instantaneous shock to your portfolio and then what's the second-largest pain point; what's the third, what's the fourth, all the way to the tenth and our risk indices are designed to capture a majority of those scenarios. And I'm happy to say that as of now, although users may see the short term drawdowns, I'm very happy to say that we are very, very far away from reaching close to anywhere near those risk budgets.

I thought now is a good time to increase the amount? That is if you have enough ammo to last many more DCA rounds.

estimate took 2 yrs+ to stay flat after the dust settle. so, my ammo need to last at least for 3+ years.

er.. may not be bounce back quickly leh.. stats shows otherwise.
most important, IMHO, is to be ABLE to hold on to those purchases/investments for at least 3+ years, best >10years
