ok. thanks bro
any particular reason for every thursday? teach me sifu.

I time the purchase to be on Monday coz they will probably dip a bit after weekends, Malaysia deposit to purchase flow is very slow, so you need to deposit on Thursday to get it on Monday.

Lesson learned, i was expecting the prices will drop hence i made deposits. But unfortunately prices have gone up. This is why you cant time the market. doh.gif

Hi, just registered for SA recently and have a few questions:

1) I read that DCA is better than one time lump sum. In this case, assuming i have rm500 a month to spend, better to do a DAILY DCA or Weekly DCA?

2) i register last week and so far the transaction is still "in progress" so i cant really experiment yet. Would like to understand how does adjusting of risk work? does that means if i reduce from 36% to 20% , if the portfolio does not have the same stock/bond/equity then it will SELL and then BUY the new stock/bond/equity?

if we all can speculate market correctly, i think most of us dont buy into SA already, play shares better. Whatever it is if u keep DCA, u will still come up a little on top I assume, of course looking at more conservative %

Yup true.

Still on negative now
The gain from ytd can't really cover the loss from Monday.
