I have a SAMY 18% risk, and i usually put in money thru maybank2u with my assign reference code.

I plan to set up another with 36% risk today. Will i be assign with a different reference code. So that they know the deposit money go to which risk account. How am i gonna do it

Same reference code.

Adjust the ratio in the manual deposit setting for allocation into more than 1 portfolio.

tomorrow SAMY baru tahu and update dalam apps u, itu pun jika dia sempat (jangan lupa, monday banyak kerja o)

normally take 2 day (fastest i ever see)
3 day just normal speed ma
4 to 5 day if got special event occur  brows.gif  brows.gif  brows.gif

Yellen faces Senate to sell US$1.9 trillion stimulus package

(Jan 19): Treasury Secretary nominee Janet Yellen on Tuesday steps into a new role following more than a quarter-century in government: salesperson for economic policy after years of defending Federal Reserve thinking and actions.

If I want to add a lump sum money into my Stashaway account, is it better to add that in gradually (increase my monthly/weekly DCA by RM X over X months)? Or is now a good time to a dump it all in at once?

For reference, my risk index is 36%.

The market is at all time high, a correction could come anytime from now. I personally would just DCA. I park my money in SA Simple and auto deduct from Simple account to my portfolio every week. Safe and simple.

I've started browsing a subreddit for personal finance in Europe and it's interesting to see the stark contrast of the attitude there.

Seems like there the mindset is DCA only if you have a short time period or limited funds.

If you have a long investment period and a lot of money, go lump sum if you believe your investment is good cos the market generally go up. Regardless if there is up or down, long run you'll still earn more from lump sum than DCA.

Not disagreeing with what you say, but DCA is a risk management strategy.

I've personally have experienced my stock portfolio dropping 30% because i got in the wrong time, I was inexperienced at that time... and it's a terrible feeling to have, feeling anxious all the time & couldn't sleep at night. I realized I'm no warren buffett, so for me I will never do that again unless I'm trading & have the ability to set auto cut loss. To each his own i guess. Some ppl can handle it some ppl can't.
