Not really, some places like Arashiyama only just started.
I was at northern Higashiyama today and only Nanzenji/Eikando were nice.
The temperature today was 5 degrees colder so that'll help.
Few more days would be perfect.

Not saying all the places in Kyoto haven't changed.
Like I said, even the same areas have varying degrees of colors so you gotta pick the right spots.

If you go to Eikando the colors have peaked but not Kiyomizu even though they're quite close to each other.

I was in Arashiyama on last Saturday, three colours are still visible - green, yellow and red. laugh.gif

Want fully red, I'm not sure have to wait for how long but maybe that time winter already, and leaves start to fall as well. laugh.gif

Hi guys, need your opinions on for my Tokyo trip punya itinerary. Hear me out and let me know if its do-able, ya =) I am still trying to figure out the best way to include things to do and stuff to makan. With every FR i read, i seems to find more new stuff to be included in my itinerary. Haha!

Opting for the NEX round trip tix for approx 4000 yen so that last day dont have to kelam kabut transferring between train stations + waiting. Approx 2000 yen each way if purchase the round trip ticket

Thanks y'all. Cheers

Definitely do-able. Your itinerary is not too packed, just nice. So long you don't overstay in 1 area, you're able to make it/ follow through especially when you're travelling alone. It's easier to adjust your timing and you don't have to wait up for anyone.

1. Yes
2. Not sure but I would advice visiting Ginza on a weekend to enjoy the "Pedestrian's Heaven"; road closure of the main road - Chuo Dori of Ginza from 12 noon onwards: https://blog.gaijinpot.com/tokyos-pedestrians-paradise/
3. Adjust accordingly. you'll need to prioritize on what is "must do" or "must see" then place the secondary item as alternative.
4. Yes. And plan your route to maximize the 3-Days Metro Subway pass.

Some of the routes cannot be reached with bus pass 600 yen and need to top up money at the end of the trip. No issue with subway+bus pass.
Hahaha. How far can you go since you are bringing the entire family? laugh.gif
For us, we walked on average 15000 steps per day and some days over 20000 steps. These walks also included public transports in between, food we only ate normal meals - brunch and dinner. Sometimes tea breaks after long walks and skies turn dark earlier so not many places can be visited after 5 p.m., you see nothing basically. Shops close at 8.00 p.m. Also freezing cold now, Osaka was still OK but not other cities, very cold.

Food wise, yes we had better food. Even if we save for food, not like it can be compensated for other activities, because in a day you can only do that much. laugh.gif

If not spend on food, where else? Activities already planned and we still visited and paid for entrance fees. Shopping is on our own expenses, so that won't be counted.

I must admit we got sick of Japanese food after few days and had Chinese food, hotpot instead. laugh.gif
I bought jacket in Adidas Shinsaibashi and the staff taped nicely but can't say the same for Adidas in Rinku.

Yes, my previous passport (expired already) also has staples from my previous Japan trip.

Honestly, I don't see a point for them to do it. We are not doing refund anymore because it has been deducted when we purchase our stuff. It's really a waste of resources and creates more issues (like the sharing I posted earlier).

i was rather worried when we need to remove the receipts will damaged my passport pages.. haha sweat.gif

Leaves in certain Arashiyama temples look good today, mostly bright red and orange with only some green left.
The hills however still look more greenish than not.

It was absolutely packed today, definitely need to come earlier in the morning. When you see a long queue purchasing tickets to enter Jojakkoji, you know how bad it is.

Not really.
They are eco-friendly not in terms of consumption but in terms of what they do with it after they had used. Japan is unparalleled in waste sorting & recycling, so while they create a lot of trash during consumption they counter that with maximising recycling as compared to some countries that would consume much less but leaves a greater environment impact when they just dump everything into landfills.

That's a nice picture. Personally I prefer trees to still have some greens to contrast the changing red leaves, so it would highlight the red hues as in ur picture.

No advantage. ICOCA card can be bought at kiosks and if you want Kansai One Pass, then get from JR office. I got Kansai One Pass which is only for foreign tourists and has nicer design. tongue.gif

JR West office is just opposite of Nankai anyway at Kansai. When I was there in early Nov, it was empty. (AirAsia Express Bag tag makes a difference, grabbed my luggage and quickly rushed to JR office laugh.gif)
