err... if this is the case with box rooted, may risky bricking it while trying to unroot to work with astrogo.

Any capability to ON/OFF superuser on the fly is fake. True unroot will not be rooted back by just button click.

Hi, is this the cheapest option of android box for netflix & youtube? Are they still workable?

at rm110 or so for 2+16gb, it is among the cheapest if not the cheapest.

was android7, now new shipments said to be android8.

youtube, u get max 2160p 30hz.

netflix, only SD 480p - this is common due to certification, only a few boxes can do hd/4k.

for beginners, i see no other better box to start with.

Edit: I didn't notice the updated post but I did buy the correct version but seller send me an updated version of the box.

ask the seller if this android8 tx3mini is rooted or not.

if rooted, it's ok for most apps, can use fine.

but not good for astrogo, playtv@unifi - for these, u must close/hide/remove root.

i do not know this updated android8 for tx3mini enough...

but i suspect it is same/similar to tx5max android8 with alice UI.

i did remove the root successfully for that box using SUPERSU app from playstore but others have reported trouble with it - the box bricked.

so, i suggest u consult seller first... and perhaps other users here can help u with confirmed steps.

I think same case. Android 8 with Alice UI here. I'm currently in touch with the seller to resolve this.

I hope so too. Currently the seller is trying to help me downgrade the firmware. But apparently the firmware that he sent yesterday doesn't work for the box. He promised to sent me a different firmware today. Fingers crossed.
