beta... appears to be less fussy... u should try it, will work but audio sync issue and some channels wrong aspect ratio.

if u dun have it, read last few pages... i'm sure i posted it... that is old, u will be asked to update online, will be fine.


i hv seen the message... yes, it looks like when ready, they will force the new version, shut down all old versions.

we won't know how it will work out... but i am optimistic it will work on tx3mini and other capable tanix boxes.

Don't bother with 8.2.6, the way I see it, why don't straight install the beta ? I think they will force the 8.2.6 to use the new interface based on the beta soon.

The app expires itself in a week, so install it fast so that you could get update before it expires.

Im planning to buy a tx3 mini in a few days mainly for Astro Go, but after reading this thread, it seems that there's a lot of issue with it. Is it still a good buy or should I go for a different version.

u may not hv read correctly.

tx3 mini is the cheapest and easy box to run astrogo; other boxes may be more troublesome.

if u were confused, it may be due to all the noise about other boxes.

just tick a setting to close root, install app, key in yr id/pw, u r go to go.

use this current beta app which will likely prompt u to update to new update or official when the time comes.

Netflix no problem.. should work fine

There are two versions of official netflix, one is black background logo, one is white background logo. The black one cannot do 4k and so should not have problem with installation. The white background netflix has very stringent requirements which I don't think tx3 mini can meet.

Also there are many fake netflix.

The official one package name is com.netflix.mediaclient ( black ) and the other one is com.netflix.ninja ( white ).

But icon alone is not sufficient. Check also the package name.

Black one package name is com.netflix.mediaclient.

White one package name is com.netflix.ninja.

(Actually checking package name is also not sufficient, have to check digital signature of the apk is indeed signed by Netflix ).

Of course I know.. lol.. just trolling around.. the netflix pro is 'original' only for the icon..

btw, astrogo beta.. get prepared everybody.. got safety net google check, also got magisk/xposed/rootcloak check as well..

I am more incline to believe there is a Technology Transfer between their partnership with HBO.

Will see how the new astroGo comes about. If they make AstroGo harder to install/run, then I see IPTV will be getting good business in the coming days, and brisk business like yourself to help others fully unroot boxes manually. I notice you do charge for services like these... ha ha ha.

Sounds like he has vested interest, he likes Astro to make life difficult for the users, so that he can add value and charge.
