Possible HDMI related issue is very plausible for your case. Have you got some HDMI splitter or HDMI switch connected anywhere in ANY OF THE HDMI ports of your TV. Check your HDMI CEC setting and your TV HDMI CEC setting. Isolate the TV and begin testing to find the cause.

The problem of unable to bring the Tx3 out from sleep is the first for me. I have seen reverse problem of box unable to sleep - and usually this is caused by the USB air mouse cursor moving right after trying to put the box into sleep.

The closest possible solution if there is a software bug, is the Power Key Definition setting.
There is a Power Key Definiaton setting, but it is purely for activate Sleep, Shutdown or Restart. Once in sleep, the power key of the IR remote should and only bring the Tx3 back up immediately. Albeit it doesn't seem to address your issue, it is good to change the settings around and see if your problem persists.

If all else fails and you can't pinpoint the problem, then factory reset is the last option.
If still cannot, then buy a new IR remote.
If still cannot, then box problem.

Hmm I've never used this HDMI CEC function before. I just disabled it because not sure how to use. It seems that this HDMI thing is more complicated than I thought. 😅 I'll try to play around and see what happens.
Yup, forgot to mention that this also happens with me, need to disable airmouse mouse mode and then it can go to sleep. No such problem with stock remote but that is understandable. I've also tried with other TV in my house and still got the same problem.
I've googled about this problem and found out that some other users who use other boxes such as mxq, x96, etc albeit very few of them, also got the same problem as mine. This strongly suggest it might has something to do with the box firmware/android version, though I don't know whether it is the same version or not. I think I'll try to do factory reset if everything else fails.

v7.9.11 works fine with tx3 if u r not migrated, still on old silver or white STB as main.
likely u have been migrated or u r new customer... v7.9.11 will be irrelevant to u.
there must be one version that works for u.

this unifi playtv app story is a big mess... becos they never consolidated the STBs and apps for 10 years.
there are like 3 types of silver boxes, 3 types of white and 1 new black.
apk versions, i know there are at least 3 types.
add to that a dozen categories of customers, diff packs, some STB, some no STB.
worst of all, unifi does not communicate much with their customers.
so, u just need to try any apk u find.

As for the playstore, u just cant install as TX3 is not compatible
I hv tried modded ones v1.2.x which was worked over the past 2 months. It just stop working recently which asking me to upgrade.

unless u r trying to do something exotic like using a version not meant for it.

hard to say... there are 3 types of white boxes.

some while ones migrated, some not.

1.3.1 is working fine for mine
modded 1.2 rev 3..able to log in but showing no subscription

true... this cheap box does not give u the best picture quality, a tad lower than more expensive ones.

Back button on the Remote replicated with the Right Mouse Button Key.

Another button on the IR remote that is not available on the USB remote is the Settings Button.
This can only be replicated with Ctrl+Esc
