Earlier this month, Fotokem at Midvalley refused to let me use Boost/TnG ewallets for a small amount transaction despite having those stickers indicating acceptance. Hopefully they are for real going forward dry.gif

Has anybody withdraw $ from boost before? Like for example top up too much in boost wallet, then later withdraw part of the $?

I am wondering though, can they legally do that? There was some news about cashless only payment in the US being illegal.

I wonder is there any law in Malaysia saying cash must be accepted no matter what.

Boost has a withdrawal fee, not a wise decision I would say.

Should've complained to the e wallet companies, I believe that they will take stern action against merchants who impose a minimum amount for e wallet payments...

I do believe it's illegal in BNM's book as well, just like how merchants impose minimum amount and surcharges for card payments.

It's probably legal considering the fact that there are even cashless vending machines operating here...

You can usually find it in bigger LRT stations (eg: Pasar Seni, KL Sentral etc.)...

Lousy Boost, trying to pay KK by Boost but failed, keep loading. Luckily saved by TnG from long queue.

Not sure if they have distinction between machine and real brick-and-mortar store. Just maybe not yet sound cause not much people know about it (i.e. politicians)
